I was first introduced to this song at 14 by a friend and camp. I thought I would outgrow it but I haven't. It's still just as funny as it was 25 years ago. I had the privilege of seeing them a number of times… First time they were the support act for the Dead Kennedys… the Venue I think. Almost no one in the audience he ever heard of them. It was like being electrocuted with pure energy and pleasure and violence. The set was so good that when the DKs came in they were vigorously booed with requests that the ANL come back on for an encore… which they did…..to shock a crowd of hardened punks. Not easy. But they did it.

I saw them open for the UK Subs in Vancouver. They only played for about ten minutes. I cannot remember who it was, but somebody stumbled and hit the stage. He got up and began to play again and then totally collapsed. He was then dragged off. The rumour went around the Commodore Ballroom that it was an overdose.
