It's amazing how much crud you have to dig out of that. It's even more amazing I'm watching this for the second time! Really good job on this - whatever it is.

Great job! hard to believe, that actually has safety features. color me surprised! you should put a coolant mister on there too, I'm sure those blades are going to go dull pretty fast.

Think you should braze the cracked vise where the adjuster is. And put the support around the end. Crude but it did prevent it from breaking off completely.

I had one of these (this exact model) for years until I bought a big horizontal bandsaw... "Noddy" just kept on cutting, I often had the odd 150mm ( DIAMETER !)X 25mm thick disc to cut from a length of bar... just set it up and leave it to get on with it.. 🤗 By the time I got rid of it... it owed me NOTHING... great little saw. I gave it to a guy who did a bit of gate-making & it worked for him for years more too !! The bi-metal HSS blades lasted a long time on it too... because of its slow speed.. 😴 😎👍☘🍺

Nice job on the restoration, but that has to be one of the stupidest machines I've ever seen. It takes too long to cut a piece of wooden dowel, plus you had to lube it up. 😥

So so sad. Do you know somebody will try to do like you and get injured? Yes, your total disregard for safety will get someone injured. Bare hands in solvent/cleaning fluid is an absolute no, no. Eventually, your hands will get so sensitized by said fluid, just looking at it will make your skin crack, and your mate will tell you not to touch her "nips" because "it hurts". That wire wheel with bare hands is a recipe for disaster. Believe me, I've seen it. Beside, those little wires don't just wear out, they also fly away, including in people's eyes. Using a screwdriver as a scraper/pry bar is also very dangerous. Screwdrivers are hardened. When they break, small fragments fly everywhere. Also, welding that casting, it should be pre heated to about 425 deg. F. before welding to minimize metal stress and distortion caused by the welding process. Also, using regular ratchet sockets on an impact wrench is a recipe for disaster. Your electricity skill would also make an electrician cry. To everybody watching this video, please, don't use that kind of work as an example of how to do things. You've got only two eyes and ten fingers. Try to keep them all. During my 40+ years as an industrial mechanics, I've seen too many stupid accidents. Try not to be a statistic. Use safe working practice. It pays in the long run.

@@saintchuck9857 Well, it looks like safety means nothing to you. Maybe you should visit an hospital emergency room and ask a doctor about all the stupid injuries they've seen because of improper use of tools. You might be a "statistic in waiting".
