When 'Dark Side of the Moon' came out (a band tbh I don't like but respect nonetheless) many will have said 'One of the Best Albums ever, please'....but it was and is....
@mr.thundersucklefuzzcanyon33869 жыл бұрын
true, I admit I was overreacting although it really is an amazing song by a really above average band. Just saying, that's pretty much what pink floyd were before that album was released...
@KendylTV9 жыл бұрын
+Mr.Thunder Suckle Fuzz Canyon It's only considered "overreacting" because it's such an early stage. Believe me, Sunbather and, so far, New Bermuda will be regarded as cult classics soon enough. I'm actually beginning to love this album more than Sunbather, but they both sound so different from each other than they're both masterpieces in their own right.

About a month ago, I started an exchange trip to Germany, and flew through Iceland to get there and back home. After weeks of making new friends and sharing some of the finest memories of my entire life with them, I had to say goodbye at the airport and fly back in the most somber plane ride ever. No one really said a word as we were all pretty bummed out that it was over. I'll never forget flying back into Keflavik, Iceland while listening to this album and seeing the deep, blue tides gushing over each other, and not too far behind were the stacked, colorful buildings that you see all around Iceland. Getting further down in the descent, 6:27 happened and it was like something from a movie. In that moment I felt longing, happiness, sadness, bliss, and comfort all in one. That is the beauty of Deafheaven. The band's ability to convey the complexity of emotion that we don't necessarily know how to feel, or even understand, is astounding, and I'll always love them for showcasing that. They put their soul into the music. When you hear it, you hear something truly vulnerable. No escapism by masking sadness with hatred or faux-misanthropy. It's something real, and I think that's what people love (and hate) about them.

I feel intense emotion when i listen to this song. It encapsulates my feeling towards the passing of my father. I was incredibly angry at the cruel fate he received. The emotion than became sadness and than relief that he never has to be in constant anguish. The outro perfectly captures that shift in emotion. Thank you

In recent years music has become a commodity, something to stick on shuffle or toss away depending on the weekly trend. Fans and musicians can forget that music isn't just a tune, but an artform; the pouring of love, hate, fear, anger and everything in between onto a tape. But some bands know the strongest connection comes deep from within. Recorded live and directly to tape in California, Deafheaven's new opus is a tsunami of noise, swelling and crashing like waves sent from Poseidon amid a vast ocean. At times the storm subsides and open waters come into full view before the ferocity of San Francisco's poetic post-black metal assault submerges you in a world of extremes - from the retching vocals to unstoppable blastbeats to deafening shoegaze, this is pain in its purest form. Let it wash over you, drag you deep into the abyss these five harbingers of destruction have created, and drown you in a sea of aggression and truth.
