Fun to see you guys play this one. Glad you liked it. Yeah the rules are little wonky. The clarifications (and helps with new kickstater should help with that) and rewritten rule book on bgg is nice. Just a few things i noticed while skipping through the video are a few rules forgotten or misplayed (for better or worse). Spell and specialty damage ignore shields. Unless specified there is a Range penalty attacking back row. You alluded in intro, but kept using or decided on cards after attack roll (which can't be done, no extra shield after damage dealt to mitigate). A.I. unit attack decisions at end (azure went after a weak unit when stronger was still/ closer). Game is pretty straightforward, but does take a bit to get used to the little things. Definitely not a super complex Lacereda game (which i also like), but no Azure/Azul either ;). Good video though. Good nostalgia fantasy game.

Nostalgia is strong with this one for sure. love the game, love deck building. it was an instant back for me, and I absolutely need the current expansion content that is (as of this message) currently on gamefound.

Great video! Thanks for creating it. It really allowed me to see the similarities between the video game and board game. The board game does seem to be a faithful creation of the video game and it seems to be well done, which is a rarity. Most board game recreations are horrible, but it doesn’t seem to be the case here.

Great video! I would recommend that you try the PC game it's really fun. The best version of the game is to get horn of the abyss expansion. There is online multiplayer with simultanious turns, also there are 2k players online daily. Besides that campaings are really fun and there are great single scenarios since game features map editor and communitiy makes wonderful maps e.g the devil is in the details map

att about 50:00 you forgot the range penalty for the elves. that might be the reason it felt so easy :) minor stuff tho. great playthrough. good to see you guys doin playthroughs again.

You can retreat anytime, but you basically lose the battle and waste a turn.

@@mask_amon8637 if anything, you’re probably reading the fact that it’s 11pm and we’ve been up since 6 with two toddlers, working, and getting everyone off to bed 😂 Gaming unfortunately isn’t as relaxing as it used to be, especially when it’s for content and we’re so concerned about everything being right. We definitely have more fun these days when we just play for fun, and usually our reviews are based on those experiences. I hope you guys enjoy it!

In your other videos where you received the game to review, the tag is not present and "Review copy provided by the publisher" is written. Why is this one different? It's not a topic of whether or not to buy the game, it's ethics. You all emphasize this in your previous livestreams. Thanks

@@matttyler1758 It is in other videos, it’s a KZbin rule. If it wasn’t there before, we either bought the game (we buy a lot of games) or it was before the rule was in place. This is us trying to be transparent about any bias at all. Hope that clarifies.
