Antminer S9 - 6 Boards per Controler Modification

Looking at the board you can easily add the starting caps and fan connections to run the extra fans needed for another chassis as well as what looks like extra power connectors for the main control board. I will take a closer look at the control board and see if I can identify what some of the other components are used for

I wont be bothering, they're fan setup seem to suck an awefull lot of power for 2 12 volts fabs sucking only 1/2 an amp

Clean up the pads first with copper braid, then your capacitor will be easier to place. It's best if you have 2 soldering irons at hand. Great video thanks for the information.

And where is the advantage? Why not mine in parallel with two unmodified? Or if you want it to be more quiet, why not slow it down from 13.5TH/s to 10TH/s? From the calculations, with an original one you get $ 90.72 today, and with a modified one you get $ 133.97, excluding electricity. Why would I care about life time? These ASICs are obsolete anyway. Can I use the 6 boards version at maximum power 27TH/s, with additional cooling and double power supply? Does anyone know in this case what would be the consumption at the outlet? Thank you!

the z9 mini uses the v9 controll board -> 3 of 4 slots are used.. is it possible to activate the 4th slot by switching the jumpers right next to it? Great work please give us some more details

If you have a mini with the right firmware the 4th board will work out of the box

hello friend have you already done maintenance on asic dragonmint T1 I have one that it connects the three hashboard but when it starts working it just restarts with a hashboard working normally the other two are as if it was not connected to the machine. but let her turn on the lights but not start working.

Try with another PSU. It sounds like a psu issue if each board works when is alone

@@Alexander1560 So even with another source this only happens when the board turns on but when it turns off and on like lights again there is only one light as the other two don't say already tried with two boards the same thing happens.

1. Yes, you can do the same on the s9i board 2. In my tests the other 3 ports were not working, feel free to test and let me know the results. Other users said the same, that the other 3 ports are not usable 3. The components you need are resistors, and you can measure the ones on the other connectors. I also sell them on my website : mining-upgrade.com/product-category/electronics/ . I do free tutorials but I cannot give all the info, must find a way to get some cash as well. 4. This setup is very convenient for modded miners, you have 1 controller to ping for miner stats, update firmware, temp check etc. I would not do this on stock miners if no other modification for cooling or other will be done 5. From my tests no 6. No worries! Good luck!

Singura diferenta intre 1 sau 2 placi de control e ca ai hashrate-ul pe un singur miner si porturi doar pentru 2 ventilatoare. Eu dadusem disable la fan check ca le raceam cu apa.

I just have one urgent question I wanted to ask you about this. Will it work with just one extra hash board port instead of the 3 you've added in your vid? Hello Alex, would you consider doing this for me if I were to pay you for the work, parts, time & postage? As I have found the resistors are too small for me too solder. With my smallest soldering iron & using flux like you said I still can't do it & have damaged 2 or three boards trying. I am only trying to add one extra port like mentioned in my last comment. Hi, it will be expensive to do it with me, I recommend going to a phone or laptop repair shop. It will be a breeze for them to do the task. Show them what they need to do and you're all set.
