The more and more I think about Eric’s passing, the more it depresses me. He fought hard for the people of Flint and the past couple of years, the council got more and more corrupt. All the times he was kicked out/arrested probably didn’t impact him at the time, but his suspension, which was given by Ladel who happens to be the most corrupt person Flint has ever had on council and what Eric fought against. Not only did she suspend him, but she did it bc she wanted to. Eric wasn’t doing anything wrong at that time to get suspended but Ladel abused her power and suspended him. Eric probably reflected on the suspension, along with all of the times he was thrown out/arrested and it impacted his health. He probably took it as the world leaving him behind but really, he was a strong man abused by some weak people. He will be missed dearly and every time I hear/think about Flint, I think of Eric Mays. He’s the greatest councilman to ever live.

Moore, and also Ralph White former Councilman in Stockton California. These kinds of men ALWAYS stood up for the people. They don't make them like these men anymore.
