Matt. thanks. I bought a 1977 MB 450SEL as a parts car for my 6.9. Turns out all it needed was a fuel pump to run and run well. I am now about $3000 into. metal work for rockers, two rear wheel arches and a front fender/wing. So much for planning. That Ford will be a good project for someone. Maybe Trev has a customer with deep pockets.

I know a lot about the M-100 cars and used to be a regular on M-100.co for years until they insisted I pay $72 USD for the privilege of posting there. If you ever need a hand with advice etc . send me a message via here .I have a 300SEL 6.3 and the remeants of my vandalised 450SEL 6.9. I'm on Instagram as BenzKraft. 6.9's basically only share the bonnet ,boot lid and doors with the lesser W116's . Even the 6.9's steering box is a different ratio.

You should do a project with Trev's Blog. You doing the chassis and he the bodywork. There would be no end to the possibilities! There is a Swedish project car called Rox GT that was built like that by two guys. One of the guys built two chassis, the other one made two bodies then they swapped parts. Check alfaseven on youtube, I think there is some small videos of one of the finished cars.

It would be cool, he's a bit of a drive from me though. I'm hoping to do a video or two with him at some point though.

@@Urchfab was kindoff thinking the same thing , getting someone that likes doing bodywork and sheetmetal conversion to do the body , either have it on its own channel or combine youre shops in the same building or near eachother , it will make the shop a little more of a one stop place for either racecars or hotrods

Dear Mr Urchfab, I’ve an Austin 8 that could be your next project maybe. 1940s. No rust issues (except a rear footwell). Lots and lots of patina. £200 to you 👍🏼

I'm on-board for a fab heavy project. Consider a RWD 70s Toyota, with the drivetrain and hubs from a diesel Hi-Ace? It will handle a lot of torque, plus the 6x139,7 hubs will take 15x8-10 deep dish wheels easily, and they're readily available. The engine choice is up to you, of course, but Toyota do have a lot of fun ones available.

You originally bought it with a vision. Good on you to make the sometimes hard decision to change course. Hard to do sometimes. At first glance, I thought that was an Anglia and was going noooooo build it! Back in high school, a neighbor had a 1948 Ford Anglia. Frame and drivetrain built around a high performance 351 Cleveland. Tire smoke and g's in every gear. I know you can't make time for comments so this is a question for anyone. I missed why the sale of the car hauler? Seemed like a handy piece of equipment for your type of business.

If it's too much for you, there's not many people left talented enough to finish it, that's a small market place to sell it on to, but I'm sure you'll find someone that will want to. What's the next project then, can't wait to find out 👍

Seem to remember another YT content provider doing that car about 3 years ago. Lost track of it, and then my history link didn't take me there. Is there a further story you could share- some of the best parts about many cars, are the stories that go with them. Hope a new(er) truck is close at hand- you'll need it once or twice sometime next year! Can't wait for the heavy chassis fab- it's always a delight to watch a real craftsman do what he really likes to do! FWIW, I'd but the little Ford- but the shipping to Texas would kill the start for at least a year or so!

That a shame. Someone chopped a classic car up to widen it and screwed it all up. I don't live in Florida, U.S.A. anymore, Urchman! I moved. Too many break ins at my residents. I wish I was back in the UK, but I see and hear things aren't well in Parliament and it makes my mind bloody bonkers! I'm flat broke always in the U.S.. I like the car. I can't do anything to help you. Ever heard of a sleeper car? It looks original inside and out, but has all new engine, gear box and suspension to boot! Goes really fast!

The chassis looks like it needs to be biffed. A copy of a model Y would look really nice, and as a scaled down 34 ford for a Hyabusa based V8 . Even though the Model Y came out in 1932 .
