I have been struggling with Anyrails for quite a while till I discovered your set of tutorials, and you have demystified the difficulties I was having. Thanks for a great set of tutorials

Finally decided it was time to create some grades. Took me awhile to figure this out. Thanks for the help.

vertical curves at the ends of the grade? how long?
@steampoweredradio2981 Жыл бұрын
Hi Pete, sorry for the delay in replying to you. It's been a bit busy here. I'm not sure what you mean by the vertical curve at the end. Do you mean the transition from grade to level? If so, I don't know the answer to that. In the past I just did what looked right. Let me know if I misunderstood your question. Dave

Yes that is what I was asking, the vertical curve from flat track to the track grade. I just bend the roadbed of the two together, but you have to be careful that it isn’t too short a distance, or a locomotive can get stuck or short out when the front steps or cowcatcher touches the rails when starting up the grade. That extra distance has to be considered when located next to a turnout or a curve. Old Pete

@@petesilcox4102 Hi Pete, that's very true. There is no way to determine that other than using the old MK1 Eyeball and intuition I guess. Dave
