Hey Anze! What key commands are you using @2:15 to copy and paste to the other parts so quickly? I need that in my life!
@AnzeRozmanArchestralMusic2 жыл бұрын
I set it up custom! Search for "activate next part" in the key commands. I have it set to the < and > keys. I'll make a video shortly

Hi Anze, aren't you finding it time-consuming if you had to make a score for that piece? I personally find it a bit tedious if I have to move all the notes back when I'm trying to export the MIDI to make a score. How do you overcome this? Thanks :)
@AnzeRozmanArchestralMusic2 жыл бұрын
Hi Bara! When I go from Cubase to the scoring stage I always evolve our orchestrator team at Fine Line Music Services. They take care of all the midi cleanup and sheet music preparation for us. If I would do it myself, I would quantize everything to grid before hand of exporting the MIDI
@davidheymann7741 Жыл бұрын
I probably missed something here but why not setting up the negative delay so it can stay quantized and still be in sync with the grid and everything? Thats how I do it in Logic Pro

Do you sell those string arrangements, in midi? Bass? I would buy them if you sell them!

Pre-delay -50 as a starting point. How often are yo changing this? I know with Performance Samples there is quite a lot of tweaking to do
@AnzeRozmanArchestralMusic2 жыл бұрын
This is to have my staccatos in time. Works in most tempos. I know the manual says -60, but i prefer -50. With faster tempos i go up to -80. So the faster the tempo the more predelay I do. I just always write steady staccato quarter notes and listen with click
@arielyznardocomposer2 жыл бұрын
@@AnzeRozmanArchestralMusic Super helpful. Thank you so much for this Anže. I'm still working on getting my ear to feel the transitions with the click. I loved the idea of writing staccato quarter notes to see if they're on time. I'll try that. Thanks again!

Hmm, i might be missing something, but... Why using advanced legato mode if you set all the notes to similar velocities?
@AnzeRozmanArchestralMusic2 жыл бұрын
Since with faster lines I can use the higher velocities. I really just did the basics here. Sometimes I would fiddle with the velocities to taste. Just gives me more options.

Thank you for watching. I have quite a few courses and workshop up on evenant.com if you are interested in learning some of my methods! I do think I will start doing short videos of things that I think are simple, but a lot of new composers have a hard time with. Like this video :)

@mperstl137 ай бұрын
Composers / arrangers / people that work with orchestral sample libraries need to stop overusing CC 1 (modulation). i see this in every "pro-composer" video, but a real orchestra doesnt change from fortissimo to piano on every 2nd beat. A bit of it (talking about +/- 15, depending on the library) increases depth and realism, but too of it much just sounds weird and out of context, every time.
