In regards to Pixel Refresh, you shouldnt run it every 4 hours. Its recommended to only run it if you see any kind of signs of retention. This means you could run it at 8 hours or even 16 hours, the latter which is forced. Asus themselves even recommend you not to overdo the pixel refresh and only run it if you see retention that wont go away on its own. pixel refresh wears out the pixels, but nowhere near as bad as pixel clean, which typically runs after 2-3000 hours.

7 Steps to prevent OLED Burn-in. 1. Use Clear Type (Not related to burn-in) 2. Hide Desktop Icons 3. Hide Taskbar 4. Set a black background on desktop 5. Set a screensaver to black 1 min 6. Every 4 hours you will be prompted to pixel refresh do it 7. DO NOT pixel refresh manually in OSD 6. Every 4 hours you will be prompted to pixel refresh do it - message reads like this: The monitor has been working continuously for over 4 hours. Maintenance is now required. During this process the monitor will automatically turn off, and the power indicator will flash. The maintenance cycle will take about 10 minutes. Once the maintenance is complete, the monitor will turn off and the power indicator will go dark. Do you want to activate the Pixel Refresh now?

Idk why people are afraid of burn in It happens when you really abuse your monitor on static Elements on the screen, like maxing brightness and using for hours straight on same element yes that would cause it . But on normal use, it won't and you won't even notice the burn in . My Phone has an oled panel with burn in after 5 years but it never bothered me. I can only see the burn in on grey pictures at max brightness.

The monitor is great, it's a shame that in my country buying from Amazon costs 530 dollars.

Does the warning pop up then leave? Or does it stay on screen until you do the clean? If i game for 6 hour id hate to stop and have a 10 min break in the middle of gaming. Or is the program smart and say its time. And will clean when you power off ? Thanks
@l2pn2 күн бұрын
@@MultiTucker77 you can ignore it and continue gaming. If you are in the middle of something it doesn't force you to clean.

i play warzone and overwatch and games like that all day on SDR never using HDR what do u think is better this monitor or asus XG27AQDMG (70$) different
@l2pn3 күн бұрын
For only 70$ more the Asus may be worth considering. In my country it was a 200$ difference. All depends on your budget. They are both OLED pictures but the Asus might be more refined?

My osd is different than yours. I wonder where to find the latest firmware update
@l2pn4 күн бұрын
@@UnbearableBearsad download AOC G menu and use the included usb cable to your PC from the monitor. If you check my earlier firmware video you can find an example of it.
