At a certain point it felt like a game of Rock, paper, scissors where one player forgets that rock is an option. Nonetheless a great game.

Norse players always seem to forget Berserkers. They are cheap cannon fodder of your army, and once you give them at least medium upgrade they kinda start to punch up, especially because they have few mythic upgrades. Heck, some minor gods specifically boost them and Hersis.

I played a match yesterday as Thor. Berserkers are pretty insane for raiding. I snuck one back behind the enemy bases and built some longhouses and would send out raiding parties of berserks. They shred through villagers like crazy

In classic AoM I know Manticores are my go-to in campaign, because they just annihilate attack waves, plus you get Apollo's healing around temples, and it all makes for very effective defense until you're able to attack stuff. But in PvP idk.. I mean, especially now that Norse gets ranged heroes, it doesn't seem like such a great counter to everything

I think the manticores probably need tuned down a bit, for how much damage AND how fast they are, but I do really think Odin would have benefitted from going into some Godi alongside the frost giants

No, the manticore don't need to be nerfed, players just need to start respecting the myth units. The Odin player needed to stop spamming human soldiers and instead build some heroes.

I don't think manticore needs that much of a nerf. People just need to learn how to fight them & against them. Split your army, focus them with heroes & good myth units. Or do the fun thing & get a Titan. Not just because I want to see Titan fights lol

@@BilgeKaanAtay its not imbalanced at all. All egyptians can destroy myth units including manticores easily from 24 range away. Norse cavalry and huskarls doesnt take much damage from them and they are fast enough to dodge, and hersirs destroy them. Atlanteas can heroise their army, so complete counter. All in all, manticores work only against Greeks. All myth units needs effort to take them down and manticores are the same

Exactly... At least if ur going to be using human soldiers like the axeman then upgrade them as soon as possible cause their damage output and hp isn't great

Manticores should be nerfed. One unit dominating over all others is not what balance is about.
