Apartment hunting can be so stressful, you deserve to get what you want! You work very hard between being a software engineer and posting on KZbin. Plus, I’ve learned the hard way that if you overlook certain things that you didn’t like in the beginning, they’re just going to drive you crazier as time goes on! Not worth it when you’re trying to find a home for awhile. Happy to hear you were approved and I hope the moving process goes smooth ☺️ I’ll be moving apartments at the end of august so I know it can be a stressful time trying to balance everything.

all buildings except for the older one (building #3) had their own parking attached to the building. They vary but most were around $100/month for one car, the most expensive one was $175/month for one car

Hello, I know this was a while ago, but I have been looking at places in LA and keep running into lots of pest problems (roaches) in a lot of different areas at the 2500 price range. Have you dealt with any of this or have you avoided any apartments due to pests? I’m paranoid after reading stories now lol

oh I have not had any pest issues and I have lived at 1111 Willshire, Aliso in Arts District, and Trademark -- but all of these are new builds!

I think this got recommended to me because you toured my building. The HGH is a bit costly for the small space but the vibes and security are phenomenal! Good luck and def prioritize security, we live next to Skid Row so it's a must! 😭😂

For the apartments and prices I mentioned, it is all unfurnished! If there was any furniture in the apartments I showed, some of it was staged just for apt tours (like building #2), and sometimes it just the old tenants stuff that hasn’t been moved out yet (like building #3). There are some buildings that have the option for you to choose furnished apartments, but the monthly rent will be higher overall.

I’m planning on moving to LA, one day & was curious to know, don’t u have to make 3 times the rent like most U.S. cities. So if ur rent is $2500-$2800 plus for an Apt to in LA. U’d have to make $10k a month to qualify correct me if you want I’m wrong??

Yes that’s correct! You do need to show proof of income that should be around 3x the rent! You’re also able to have a guarantor. And if you have a roommate, then they consider your joint income
