As she beamed with excitement and took me on a tour I said to myself, ‘I paid for all of this’. Two months later, I purchased my first home (a 3-level, 2-bedroom circa 1984 condo) that I still live in today. And just 2 years ago, I invested $24K of my hard earned money and renovated my kitchen & all new appliance; $5,500 in my powder room (master bath was already renovated by previous owners); $4K in new flooring & baseboards, updating the electrical to including installing additional pot lights, patching, mudding areas of some walls, painting; $2,500 in the installation of all new interior doors; and $2K for installation of new deck flooring to modernize my home.😅

Great video. If I'm not mistaken that's Encanto Golf Course and you're on Thomas Rd. That townhouse is in a historic district, North Encanto. That's a pretty good deal she has. They don't build them like that anymore, one story, block construction with casement windows. Have you seen the new build apartments going up around town? They're all multi-story and made out of wood with a coat of stucco applied on the outside walls.

Hello from the Oregon Coast! Market rate for older apartments are1Bdrm $1,500 2 Bdrm $1,800 3 Bdrm$2,000-2,400 We live 15 minutes from the amazing beach/coastline. Housing is much higher directly on the beach/riverfront areas. Housing in Old Town/Downtown is sky high just like most in our country. Gas is $5 gal as of 06/22/24. 😎

I live in San Diego too, my apartment is over $3000 for a one bedroom of 600 square feet. It's not a bad apartment, but it's an old apartment that needs to be updated and there's no privacy, too close.

@@annafarr582 unfortunately this seems to be normal. My neighbors daughter and husband were paying the same. Until two years ago they bought a house in las vegas that was about three years old. And there paying less for payments on the house. Then what they were paying on rent. Myself I sold my 70 year house here and bought a brand new manufacturered home and moving just outside of Vegas to Pahrump California is killing me financially and not going to get better. And I'm a native Californian.

Oh you will be surprised by just how good the roads are vs here in San Diego they are always doing repairs and your food budget will be a little cheaper and sure they have big city problems but if you want to get away from city all you have to do is drive up to Pahrump or go further up and there is places where you feel like only person on earth out in desert . San Diego may be pretty but not my favorite from when I was growing up here. And I "am not going to miss to much down here that is for sure.

Greetings from Delaware. 42 degrees and raining. Wish I could show you my apartment. 630 Sq ft, one bedroom, garden level (all apartments are), central air, laundry, eat in kitchen, front porch, beautifully maintained, brand new when I moved in four years ago. Community center, community bus, hot dinner available three days a week if you want, all senior living. Last weekend residents were treated to a NY concert. And bus transportation. My rent? $281. Subsidized living at its best!!! I have NO complaints. I’m so fortunate.
