In this video, I show how you can get even higher gloss from your paint correction. From the pro to the enthusiast or driveway detailer, achieve the highest gloss in your area! Paint correction is an auto detailing procedure that removes hazing, minor scratches, marring, swirl marks, and other blemishes on the vehicle's clear coat. It does this by using specialized machines and polishing compounds to slowly remove microscopic layers of clear coat until the surface is smooth again.
Phoenix EOD PAPA Cut.....www.phoenixeod...
This innovative formulation and diminishing abrasive system, provides a level of cut and finishes with high gloss; haze-free finish unmatched by any other compound on the market. Papa Cut Diminishing Compound delivers outstanding gloss and Distinction of Image (D.O.I.). With an increased cycle time, ultra-gloss and swirl free finish, Papa Cut is easy to clean up with virtually no dusting and no white residue on trims. Papa Cut Diminishing Compound is silicone-free, filler-free, body shop safe and VOC compliant.
Phoenix EOD Fab Finish...www.phoenixeod...
This professional formula combines cutting-edge diminishing micro-abrasives and water-based lubricants to eliminate micro-swirls gradually. FAB-ulous Finishing Polish is the ultimate final step of the “three-step” paint correction process as the formula emollients roll over the hard edges of swirls and holograms leaving a flawless, mega-gloss with an unparalleled “Distinction of Image” (D.O.I)! Works exceptionally well on dark surfaces. Ideal for ceramic prepping. FAB-ulous Finishing Polish is both Body Shop Safe and VOC compliant

Jeweling is my absolute *favorite* thing to do as a detailer. It’s what I started with when first learning the rotary (from you B!) and I love the effortless, smooth, vibration free feeling of a dialed in rotary. I mostly do one steps now, so I tend to favor the DA for that. I can usually get a bit more cut and still finish down where I want to be better than I can with a rotary. But when I do get a multi step, I cannot wait to get the rotary out. I stay around the 1500 rpm range, basically no pressure, and have never once burned through or damaged anything with it, even when learning. I love how cool the pads stay compared to a long throw.

I have a new car with just light Turtle Wax spray wax on it. I want to do a really good decontamination wash & VERY light polish. Is “jeweling” good enough? It’s a white car. If there’s swirl marks I can’t see them.
@jdisdetermined

@@katiecannon8186 Absolutely. You can use something as gentle as a cleaner wax and a very soft pad. Or something like Essence or Uno Pure if you’re doing a coating or heavy duty sealant.

@@jdisdetermined Thank you so very much for responding! I haven’t decided yet what sealer I’m going to use. I live on a dirt lane so I’m constantly using Turtle Wax Slick Shine Quick Detailer and TW Minute Wax to get the light layer of dirt off. I like these two products a lot. But I also just bought P&S Waterless Wash. I haven’t decided how I like it yet. Anyway ….. Lol. Do you have any suggestions keeping in mind that I have to use something probably 3 or 4 days a week? I was thinking Turtle Wax Flex Wax or something along those lines. Do you have a favorite sealant? Also, since I’m using tons of TW Minute Wax, maybe that’s all I need? I know I need a deep wash & light polish. But after that? I don’t know. I just know I don’t want to go full ceramic coating.

@@jdisdetermined Also, I see Dr. Beasley has a cleaner wax, that’s probably a good one? Or do you have one you’d suggest?
@jdisdetermined
@jdisdetermined 9 ай бұрын
@@katiecannon8186 No worries! The most important thing is you’re keeping it protected, what you use to do that is less important. The biggest benefit of stronger protections are their longevity. You don’t have to reapply as often. So you can use whatever you enjoy working with. But Flex Wax would be a significant upgrade from Minute Wax. It will give you months of durability between applications. My personal favorite sealant is from Brian’s line, Blue Collar 2. It’s a simple spray and wipe application and up to a year of durability. That’s what I’d recommend if you want to try the strongest tier of protection that isn’t a full blown coating. You’re pretty much ready to go after you’re done polishing. If you’re using a cleaner wax/all in one, you’re done, top it with a spray wax as needed. If you’re going with a stronger protection, use a primer(like CarPro Essence) or straight(Rupes Uno Pure)polish instead of a cleaner wax, and follow that with a panel prep and you’re good to apply. An easy cheap panel prep is about a 20% isopropyl alcohol solution. Or 1 part 91%IPA to about 3 parts water.. or buy something like CarPro Eraser. I haven’t tried the Dr. Beasley’s version personally as I mostly do full coatings. But when I do use a cleaner wax/aio I use Rupes Uno or 3D Speed. But Dr. Beasley’s make great products, I wouldn’t be afraid to try it. 👍

That’s the type of polishing you can sell 100 times a year. Very rarely do I meet a customer that is both a great candidate for a 2-step while also having it in their budget. Not enough to build a business on. 1 step polishes are bread & butter🤘🤘

I needed this video as Im going to be getting my classic car repainted, so it won't need a full on correction. But it is a show car and I've been researching jeweling. This video was fantastic. I did have one question...I had someone tell me that for this step, I wanted to do everything you just did with the DA except they said you want to run it at a low speed like 1 or 2 and go very slow. Only pressure should be the weight of the machine. I see here you had the speed up between 4-5 and went normal speed. Is there a pro or con to doing it one way to the other? Thanks for any insight Brian

A genuine professional detailer with great experience and genuine skills would be using a Rotary Polisher for entire job via all sorts of pads…with sterling results. Unfortunately, it takes proper coaching or genuine self-cleverness, and lots of time to master a Rotary…which many jobless men could not afford. They need to quickly start a new business to earn money. Thats where the DA was popularized. And this group of newcomer detailers and YT detailers became stuck to the DA. Many “pros” are actually not comfortable in using a rotary (esp with the big wool pad) and these are the ones who’ll badmouth anything that they dont know how to use or anything they dont know how to do.

Love the channel, but I'm seeing a bunch of no no's. Polishing in direct sunlight, sitting the buffer on the hood. I realize it's a trash hood but even so. Nice tips, but hopefully noobs know this is not best case. Heat when polishing is the enemy and direct sunlight almost guarantee it's going to show swirls in a couple of weeks.
