do you need 2 different api550a (500series) to mix the whole drums and such or does one rack covers ? im trying to buy a 500 series and mix utilize in the daw. Thanks

The Harrison eq sounds great to me. The Harrison made the drums have a nice smack in your face sound.

yes, for me Harrison eq has presense, that make drums sound in front of mix, without making it very annoying. It just sounds warmer

Through my phone’s speakers 😅 the API gives the snare a nice low mid smack. Harrison gives a cleaner smack -probably less low mid. Elysia does come off clean and doesn’t really have a smack at all.

Elysia a true stereo eq though, other 2 obviously not. I'm not knocking them, just saying. I love API, haven't had the chance to run GR, & have Elysia on order now

For me harrison eq sounds a point warmer than api... Elysia strange

I was thinking great river then In the end the API came through. Right at the end. GR next and then 3rd the Elysia. I just did not like the Elysia at all. That low mid just didn’t sound nice at all.

API or GR will work, though real drums are more problematic. Maybe then the GR will win coz it's more surgical while the API is midrange heaven.
