Those engines don't play around on the torque! My Tao DB17 will do the same when I hammer on it, but it tops out at 55 MPH with an aftermarket carburetor! It used to top out at around 48-50 MPH with stock carburetor, due to it running leaner. I've had it for a year now, and no problems at all other than riding the wheels off of it, and needing a rear tire change 😂 But IMO, I think TaoTao, and Apollo is killing it!

The only issues I've had so far is one or two bolts backing out that either I forgot to loctite or I didn't use enough loctite on. These bolts were the ones holding the exhaust shield on and the triple clamp holding the bars on. Also one other issue I've had is rolling my back tire off the rim which has caused me to puncture my tube twice. The reason the tire rolled off the rim was because the air pressure was lower than it should have been so that's my fault. Otherwise it's been great 👍

Can somone please tell me should I get a x-pro dirt bike or a Apollo dirt bike I’m 12 I can’t get a straight answer and I don’t wanna spend $1,465 on something that’s not worth it it’s gonna take 6 month to save up for

You’d be surprised what those things can handle. I found one in a dumpster once all beat up. Motor ran perfect I beat the piss out of that thing for 2 years rev limiter all the time like literally anywhere I went I just had the throttle mashed. Ended up moving and it still ran had to give it to a buddy 😂.

Be honest should I buy this bike and will it stay working for a while and where do I buy it?
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
I'm being honest, it's been a great bike the past year for me and I ride it hard. The ONLY problem I've had is when riding with low psi on the back tire it will cause it to roll off the rim with my big butt on it and then it pinches the tube causing me to buy a new one. But everything else had been good. I purchased mine online at www.powersportsmax.com

@@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL my top speed went from 55 to 67 mph just with the carb I'm trying to figure out what kind it is. Also the bike comes stock with a 10 tooth sprocket on the engine block swap it to a 14 you'll probably get even more speed but you'll lose a little acceleration

I purchased it online at www.powersportsmax.com and although they still carry some dirt bikes last I checked they no longer carry the Apollo. Also it's very difficult to find them under $1,000 now due to their growing popularity.

I have a pit bike with an Ironton 208cc ,do y'all think an Apollo dbx18 would be faster?
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL2 жыл бұрын
Yes. I believe it would be faster because the x18 is the big wheel model which would gear it higher.

Just curious, Did u try bending down to eliminate the wind drag from your body?
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
A little bit not as much as I could have. I would have dipped down more head I felt like it had the gearing to go faster but to be honest I believe the bike is revving out to its max RPM.

can you drop the link that you bought the bike from? I'm trying to buy one
Once you click on the link then click on the dirt bike tab and then on the model you would like.

I'm not positive but from my understanding they are basically the same with minor differences like body panels and engine covers. But I believe the engine is relatively the same platform.

i want one but everyone tells me to get a honda or ktm what should i do ? are hondas that much better?
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
So Hondas and KTM have been around a very long time and have proven to be very reliable so that's why many folks will tend to gravitate towards them brands versus the Chinese bikes. Also the Chinese bikes in the early to mid-2000s were known to be complete garbage. They had all sorts of problems and took them over the next decade to get a lot of those things sorted out. Also the engine on the Apollo is not as powerful as an engine of the same size from Yamaha, Honda, KTM, etc. But for the price you can't beat it especially if you want to just mess around on a small pit bike.
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
I would say if you're wanting something fun but you're not being competitive and you want to save a lot of money get the Chinese bike If you're wanting to be very competitive while riding with other people and have the extra cash I would say go with Honda or KTM or any of the other big brands.
