no IT WOULD BE FASTER DUMBY for 1 bc the ktm IS A 65cc and the apollo is a 125cc the onky reason the ktm won is bc 2 strokes have more acceleration than 4 strokes do but 4 strokes have a higher top speed if the apollo had a built and tuned up mikuni on it IT WOULD LEAVE THT KTM IN THE DUST.

@@damoncatlin734 🤔🤔 hummm, I bought it from a person that had it rebuilt at a shop and when unloaded it at my house I pulled the spark plug took a flashlight and looked at the top of the piston and it was shiny and new indicating that the top end was in fact brand new so perhaps they did something wrong during the rebuild. I was thinking if anything the lower crank bearing was going which would cause slap in the piston rod. DJ Theys watercooled bikes are more powerful and run cooler ,air cooled bikes get hotter thus reducing power output the hotter they get ,also why race cars are all water cooled and not air cooled, either way if the 125 was a race bike too it would most likely have a 125cc watercooled high compression engine(12-1compression or higher)with stiff valve springs ,a high lift long duration camshaft rev to 10k or higher running a higher octane and have bigger ports and bigger carb and 4 valves allowing it to suck more air in and rev higher ,that in my opinion would either smoke the 2 stroke or be on par with it , i love 2 strokes btw i have a 1996 cr500 bored to 515cc

@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
@@brodyriekofsky844 That's actually great observation and I'm glad you brought that up just in case anybody else heard or noticed the same thing and is wondering why I was doing that. So what you observed was something called power shifting. Power shifting is where you do not let go of the throttle while shifting. During power shifting you'll quickly shift as fast as you can by pulling in the clutch and shifting the gear while at the same time never releasing the throttle. What it does is it, for a split second, allows the engine to free rev in between the gears so that when it does shift to the next gear it hits the next gear hard and gives it a slight boost as its engaging the next gear. Yes it will cause extra wear and tear on the clutch but If you're racing to the extreme level then it will give you an advantage compared to not power shifting.

Yes

@@Torresito-qf5gm It was recently rebuilt prior to me purchasing it. As far as I'm aware it's been rebuilt at least twice because I seen two old pistons in the box of stuff that I got. It may have been rebuilt more than that but either way I'm not exactly sure of the total history on this bike. I do know that the engine is a bit noisy and it's an abnormal noise Not sure what's going on inside. I'm going to be pulling the head off this week.

Actually underdressed my man. I recently flipped one of them back and hit my knees pretty hard on the lime rock. My pants and jerseys did well and didn't tear whereas if I had regular clothes on they would have torn and I would have ruined a nice pair of jeans. Also the reason I say I'm under dressed is I'm going to be getting knee pads and elbow pads because my knee took a pretty good impact and never really thought about the pads until now. You can never have enough gear 👍

what is the difference between all of the Apollo 125 bikes. I can't decide between the X-18, X-15, or 007.
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure about the 007 but the X15 is the small wheel model and the X18 is the big wheel model.

@joeyriveira66974 жыл бұрын
So you even up the riders weights . What’s the bikes weight on each that may be a determining factor . I’m sure that Harbor freight bike isn’t at the ktm’s weight . Plus if that 125 has been rung out like this all the time do a valve adjustment to give the 125 it’s full potential of power .
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
You have some valid points. As far as the weight of the bikes I'm not sure the difference there but this was more so of an example if someone were to line these two bikes up what to expect with different rider weights. Also the Apollo's valves are within spec as I do all my maintenance. Now it could have certainly benefited from a carb upgrade and exhaust.
@davidmykal81974 жыл бұрын
Just curious why didnt u have your brother ride the apollo with no backpack to show the difference with less weight if there was any
@RednX693 жыл бұрын
My brother has an Apollo, I drove it and if you really revv out those gears, you would've probs been a lot closer behind, I stood up to a Honda CRF150R with the 125 and won all rounds.
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
In this case against the KTM I just could not keep up possibly because I weighed a bit more than my brother but I was definitely winding her out lol...

Yes I do my very best to respond to each and every comment. There are times my inbox doesn't notify me and or I overlook a comment by accident. I think if it's important enough for someone to leave a comment then it's important enough for me to try to respond in a timely manner.

Im a two stroke person but that rfz sounds better than the sx65. This is one of the only times that i will say that a 4 stroke sounds better.

Hey Quadnation I have the apollo 125 cc dirt bike and sometimes it has a hard time starting. Sometimes it starts on first or second kick but sometimes it wont start at all.
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL3 жыл бұрын
Mine does that from time to time too and What I do is I will switch the choke lever from choke, half choke, or no choke and usually moving it around it'll fire up.

2 strokes are way faster but I actually owned a Apollo 125 its not the bike it's the rider
@FREEDOMSYNDICATEOFFICIAL4 жыл бұрын
I would have to disagree in this case in particular because we swapped bikes and the results remained the same. This is the very reason we swap bikes to ensure that one rider is not significantly more or less experienced than the other thus ensuring that the end results are as fair as possible.
@Arpdemilio4 жыл бұрын
Obviously the 2 stroke is gonna win because they have better engine, a 4 stroke is kinda like a Atv
@erich50983 жыл бұрын
You can put all the power you want in that Apollo motor it won’t beat that 2 stroke ktm it doesn’t have the transmission to change the gearing to beat it

The Ramon's I thought he did well, he was launching well, power shifting and shifting at perfect times. He maxed it out. If there was a poor rider on the KTM give the APOLLO an advantage, both riders switched and the race basically had the same results. What would you have done differently to ride better?

I did say no disrespect but maybe some Gary Semics videos could help. Starts are something we work on alot down here. Plus shifting a bike is nothing like shitting a car or truck. Still with all that ktms rule the mini class. There is some exceptions in the mod classes. With that said not many riders is going to have a Lorettas ready bike.
