This was helpful! Was Not a rebound dude, but dumped after a year. Now she's in the make me jealous stage. I gave her the space she wanted, crazy how all this work. She got her new man I assume, had something on Facebook about a update status but the message said only a few can see it or it has been deleted. Smh. I'm going to get my psychology degree, because a lot stuff I hear on these channels I use to do unconsciously. Come to find out all this is actually a psychological thing that's real! Crazy!

This is really helpful. I’m an anxious person so I tend to overthink and worry. I’m in her future plans, she’s never talked about or compared me to an ex, and we don’t over text. We usually give each other space and check in throughout each day. She does love to criticize my driving ability though! lol

Now looking back after our breakup, this girl who came out of a long term 9 year old on-off relationship did use to compare me and not in controlling way but like "you are so caring my ex never used to care for me like that" and so on, even though she did all the first three things you said, she used to do the comparison a lot. Now I am confused whether I was the rebound guy.

There’s a different between being in a casual FWB relationship vs. being a rebound. Thing is in a casual FWB relationship you both came to an agreement you wanted sex. Being a rebound she is just lying to you she loves you and goes way too fast or slow and constantly talks about her ex when she gets bored of you she leaves you hanging it’s up to you to put your foot down and set boundaries.

well.... I really wish there was a tie breaker here. She definitely talked with me about our future and introduced me to her friends. Hell, we all even went to Vegas together, but there was definitely insecurities on both of our ends and she did talk a lot about how shitty her ex husband was A LOT, primarily about how bad of a dad he was and how he owed her a ton of money for their old house. So... I don't know if I was the rebound guy or not, but this is good info regardless.

Came here to post this. Commutative uses the root word "Commute" which is a transfer/exchange of one thing for another (like commuting a sentence for a crime). I met her friends and family but she was not over the trauma with her ex. She didn’t obviously want to be with him anymore but was just dealing with the messed up shit he put her through. We did talk about our future together and it seemed bright. She was saving up money and making plans to come live with me. She recently broke up with me saying that she jumped into a new relationship too fast and things were also moving too fast between us and that she needs time to be alone and just with friends. I know there was love between us and she seemed like she was committed, but this break up just kind of came out of no where. She also said that it was going to happen sooner or later and she chose sooner. We were dating for 4 months until a few days ago. I feel so heart broken.

Hi, I have tried to end my relationship with my girlfriend 4 times in 6months because of the fear that I'm a rebound guy. Although she told me that I'm not and she doesn't have feelings for her ex ,somehow I dont believe her. Apollonia I wanted to know if you ask a woman a direct questions to get straight to the point of an answer(s) about your relationship with her to see you moving forward , same page and etc. Should you give her a few days or sometime to answer? Or should she knows the answer when its pertaining your relationship with you? I have always gave her time to process it and then tell me after a few days to week or two. Hi Literal, It seems as though you may be reaching out to her too much where she cannot take you seriously. I would suggest to back away a but and stop trying to convince her and instead focus on this time and do things that will keep you occupied. You have to show her something different and that is changed behavior. She possibly knows you will be reaching out so don't do this anymore.
