Kelly Knob is the most underrated, unpleasant surprise on the AT… I’m actually glad to hear it was tough for a vet like you… I don’t feel so bad for how it killed me when I was there!

I just couldn’t get over the fact that random people thought they could just come into your tent to get out of the rain. And then thought they could eat your limited amount of food. I was mad on this side of the camera! Wishing you continued success on your thru hike ❤

Drunken roommates. Sorry to hear. I had similar experience on NC Hammocks Beach during huge rain and wind storm. But for me, I only had a couple of Boy Scouts crawl under my rain fly. They said their tent had blow away, could they join me. They were covered head to toe with sand, I gave them shelter but only under my rain fly. At day break, we searched until we found their tent. It had blow away - they had used basic tent stakes instead of something more substantial in the sand which I learned had been there scout project before the outing. Your story wins.
