I loved your interaction with the rattlesnake, no panic there like most people! Loved how you talked to it as one of Gods beautiful creatures. They mean no harm to anyone. And the Rattlesnake venom shot, a classic! You are one cool person Tigger, one day the Pirate and the next day the snake charmer!

I feel pretty Zen around snakes…you’ll die laughing when you see what I did when I saw a pig. I was afraid of that and we had no idea how to handle it so I just used bear protocol 😂 I hear they charge you🙏

That was some good insight into trying to makes the miles while at the same time trying to enjoy the experience and woods. I'm sure after awhile it becomes more of a grind just keeping your head down and pushing forward. I hope you are able to do both. That looked like a timber rattler. Keep an eye out for them as the last thing you want is to be bitten. At times you are miles from any type help. Be safe out there.

Your young son was hilarious. I’m scared of them but more so moccasin because they are territorial & will fight just to keep you from their area. That driftwood was a perfect therapist thing. What do you see? Great fun video today to enjoy my coffee w/.

Love that! We see lots of blue salamanders, I saw one wild pig 🐖 which scared me 😂, a black snake, a timber rattlesnake, 1 deer, lots of birds, we hear all kinds of owls at night, we saw fish in the 1st pond we hiked past❤️🥰

I'm curious, what does it cost to slackpack? Also, I've got to hand it to you, you were like a seasoned veteran around the rattler!

Usually it costs around $50. On resupply days when the pack is really heavy maybe worth it? Otherwise I’m not sure. Thanks 🙏 I have some experience with snakes as a gardener. They blend in to their environment so well. Stepping on one that you don’t see wouldn’t be fun but always a possibility particularly when tired.🙏
