I lived with an abusive woman. An example would be one afternoon i was asleep on the couch. She came up and smashed a bottle over my head because she was mad over an incident that i had nothing to do with. I got up, with blood pouring down my face, and told her i was calling the cops. She laughed and said she would punch herself in the face till they got there, then tell them she used the bottle to defend herself when i was attacking her. Needless to say i didnt call. She knew she could abuse me and the system would support her and believe her if all she did was lie. It was a living hell. It continued on with her favorite thing being attacking me while i was asleep. She liked it because she could do damage before i could defend myself and it kept escalating. It all came to a head one night. She came in drunk and tried to pick our two year old up who was sleeping on her elmo couch in the living room with me. She had already fell with her once in another incident. I told her to give her too me because i didnt want her to fall. She refused and i had to physically take her. She immediately started throwing full punches at me. I covered my daughter up with my arms because i didnt want her to get hit so i had to take the full punches to the face. I turned my back on her and took my daughter into her room and put her in the crib. All the time shes wailing on the back of my head. Thank god she slept through the whole thing. I turned and shoved her out of the room too get her away and locked the door. When i turned back to her she hit me with a roundhouse that did serious damage. Blacked my eye and bloodied my nose. I snapped. She threw another punch and i caught it in midair, twisted her arm, and broke it. She fell to the floor screaming that i was an abuser and womanbeater. It was the first and last time i raised my hand to a woman. After that she never attempted to lay a finger on me again. People will read this and think "why didnt you leave." Because i knew the courts would give her custody and i was afraid for my daughter without me being there to protect her. That was twelve years ago. Ive had full custody for ten years. Her mother took a promising career as a pill addict and is no longer a part of our lives. Life is good for both of us.

Maaan she'd get to do that once ahah, the next day I'd wear permanently a microphone and call my lawyer, then trick her to do her shitshow once more on camera with microphone and actually call the cops and see if she goes through with her shit. If she does I would do everything I can to have her committed for at least a week before forcing her out on the fuckin street. Everybody would see the video. I am a kind hearted person, with a lot of patience, but I dare you to try and fuck with me, man or woman. No fuckin Mercy for the wicked.

I'll tell ya how i got custody. We split up after this and i had to go to court to establish parental rights, since we weren't married. I managed to convince her to accept joint custody with me paying childsupport and other expenses of course. I immediately started documenting everything she done. If she showed up late or no show it got wrote down. If she dropped her off at her moms so she could party i wrote it down. All texts and messages from her saved. There was a lot since she had got with a guy and they were partying hard. After two years it was at the point were she barely seen her. I took everything i had to a lawyer and filed for abandonment. Day of the court hearing she walks in high as a kite on pills. It was obvious to everyone. Needless to say the judge was not amused. He awarded me full custody telling her" i wouldnt give you custody of a houseplant, much less a child." Of course even though i had full custody the judge said she didn't have to pay support because it would be too much of a financial burden on her. I just laughed. I didn't care i got what i wanted but it does show the hypocrisy of the system when the shoes on the other foot.

@French Name I don't pick on people. Frankly, as long as you don't cause me any inconvenience or benefit, your existence doesn't concern me. I get home at 8pm at the latest and i am in bed by 11pm, and make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about 20 minutes of stretches before bed, i usually have no problems sleeping until morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that i am a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning or losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how i deal with society, and i know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if i were to fight, i wouldn't lose to anyone.

I have proof that women can and will abuse men. One of my co-workers came in to work (this started happening around New year's.) with a broken nose and a black eye. His daughter recorded the incident using her phone, and many others like this where his wife constantly punched him with her fist, with a TV remote, with paper weights, and even once with a lamp and he never raised a hand against her in violence or defense. He just took it because he didn't want his kids to be more scared or traumatized. The girl spoke up at school when they had an assembly about domestic violence awareness and showed the principal everything. The principal told my coworker that he would be calling cps to the school to temporarily hold the child and send cops over to detain his now ex wife. With all the evidence against her, she has charges of unagrivated assault and physical assault/abuse against my coworker and emotional and mental abuse and trauma to the kids, they have a restraining order on her, and he now has full custody of the kids.

I am in a relationship with a man who have been abused and mistreated (physically and mentally)so badly by women that he sometimes still flinch when I try to cuddle or hold him when he dont see me coming towards him. He told me an exgirlfriend attacked him during his sleep. Its getting better with time. My kisses and love for him has made him happier and realized that there still exist good women who would never hurt him. No one has the right to hurt anybody no matter what gender. Stop the violence for god sake, and protect our boys and girls from this madness. EDIT: Wow thank you all so much for everything! I did not expect this to happen. It goes much better, he does not flinch anymore as he used to and is much happier. We have been together for five years and still going strong. Take care out there❤

When I was in middle school this girl slapped me (idk why) and I.....I didn’t do anything and I have three reasons for that 1. It was the middle of switching classes which meant there was a lot of people 2. Teachers there (again idk why they didn’t say anything) 3. I’m not trying to get suspended When I went home to my dad he said “Fuck that, slap her back! I don’t care if you get suspended or expelled, if ANYBODY hits you hit them back!” Ever since then I’ve been trying to come up with good catchphrases to say if a girl hits me.

I've had so many female coworkers that baby trapped their boyfriends who would not marry them. They would brag about it at work. I've also had female coworkers who got guys fired by accusing them of harassment. They admitted to me or a group of us that they did it just for the power trip or for a week off of work. I am 42 and still single and have not had a relationship. I was psychologically abused by my older sister when I was young and was not allowed to date in high school by my parents. I never really learned self defense social tactics. In college, I realized that I was not able to fight back against women that tried to get me in trouble or shame me for something that I did not do or manipulate me because they were attracted to my friends, etc. It was always bystanders (often other women) that would jump in and help me. One time I avoided prison because she was beating on my sick mother and I stepped in to stop her. I did not strike her, I just put my body in between so that her strikes would hit me instead of my mother. She immediately got teary eyed and called the police. When the police arrived they were so vicious in how they dealt with me. It was the most terrifying experience to a short skinny guy to deal with giant guys who were each 2-3 times my weight. They had their guns pointed at the ground with all their eyes on me waiting for me to move wrong. That was over 15 years ago. I have not dated a woman or trusted one since that day. I am still not able to communicate with them. I have to actively do things to keep control of my anxiety. My mother passed away last year after a long struggle with diabetes and heart disease. To add to that, my nephew committed suicide last year as well. I've been wondering recently if he had the same types of problems that I had. I was not able to be involved in his life enough. I have guilt from that. I've experienced mostly darkness but at least it is a life that I have lived. My nephew is no longer alive and will not be experiencing even that which is the bare minimum that this existence allows us to have.

Men are also in a very bad position when it comes to abuse because the second they try to defend themselves they are instantly turned into the bad guy. I had a friend that was arrested and charged with domestic violence because he slapped his wife's arm to try and disarm her of the object she was hitting him with. The ONLY thing that saved him was their own home security camera footage. He was released, but then she wasn't even approached by the authorities or had any charges pressed against her. The only justice he got was the house and full custody of their daughter during the divorce, thanks in large part to that footage and other evidence, but that doesn't change the fact that his life was nearly ruined. Even during the divorce process she attempted to attack him multiple times as well as stepped up her mental/emotional abuse game. It took several months before the courts finally granted him a restraining order. The system itself is severely flawed and one sided against men, and until that is corrected and abusive women are treated equally to men, nothing will change.

It was a complete accident, honestly, i reckon the kid was just being sassy at the end there. I never did the whole 'shut down brain while running' thing because i didn't have any friends that stuck around at that age but ALL the groups that bullied me did it, even everyday kids out on the oval did it. Everyone does it, in fact, i saw it was more common amongst girls to push over and ram into guys, then blame it on them.

@@kimberlyjones8152 You can't respect people enough "not to hurt them", because that becomes a subjective thing by individual. It's an absurd notion. How am I supposed to know when you are reaching your 'hurt' threshold? All the snowflakes choose what "hurts" them based on the level of 'victim' they want to be. Ditto for 'outrage'. What 'hurts' or 'outrages' you won't be the same for me. That is the beauty of free speech ... people deserve what they get. Free speech is not hurt speech. My parents taught me as a child "sticks and stones may hurt my bones, but words will never harm me". We have too many adults walking around with the mind-set of a child and it's getting worse by the day with this 'victim' culture. You have the right to risk offending me and I you. Alasdair McBryde neither is a male entitlement- we all deserve respect as human beings, though some forms of respect do have to be earned- for example, if you want to be respected as a teacher, you have to train as teacher then do a good job. I am a bit worried by some of the comments which try to make out that women are not entitled to the same respect as men are. Violence harms everyone involved and if you are convicted, you may be facing a stiff sentence, whatever your gender. Some of the comments are just ridiculous and I don’t mean the ones detailing how some men have had to suffer at the hands of their female partners.

My mom mentally abused my dad when I was little (there is a chance she physically abused him as well), and it was terrible. She told my dad about all the boyfriends she had, they were married. Yelled and screamed about it. I even remember when my mom told me once when I was getting ready for a recital, when I was like 4-5. “Don’t tell your dad this, but I’m cheating on him.” She expected me to tell him. She wanted me to. And I did. When I did, he went from happy to physically upset. Now the worst one was where on of my moms boyfriends went to work with my dad, and my mom talked about him a WHOLE bunch. My dad worked with this man, side by side. Really messed up. Now, the kicker is when this guy died in a car accident, and my mom FORCED MY DAD TO ATTEND THE FUNERAL OF A GUY WHO CHEATED WITH MY MOM. It broke him so bad. He and I are out now, and it’s been so much better.

Tally Paige Thank you for the kind words. It’s actually kinda corny how my dad and I made the first move of getting away from my mom. I met a girl at a new school in first grade, and we hit it off immediately. She invited me to her birthday party, and I said yes. So, my dad took me, and he met her mom. He talked with her, and he told her of what happened between him and my mom. Turns out, she has no heart for not doing anything, and comes up with a plan after meeting us by accident at a mini golf place. She was to “date” my dad and give my mom a taste of her own medicine. My dad did not brag to my mom, only dropped hints to her about this. Now, my mom figures it out, and divorces him. The only reason my dad didn’t divorce was because... well I don’t know why. He was probably scared to. The court ruling says that it was to be a conjoint custody. We were halfway there, but we needed more work. But that’s for a different time. Now, that woman I was talking about earlier, yeah, she actually falls in love with my dad. And my dad deeply falls in love with her. The little girl I talked about? She’s now my stepsister. My dad says thank you for your kindness as well. We are both much happier. We are both away. Again, thank you. There is so much more that happened other than that, but it’s probably take me more than an hour to comment on. So again thank you 🙏

Two examples of exactly this: An office I once worked in one day put posters up in the female bathroom offering a helpline for those suffering domestic abuse. In the male bathroom they put up an equivalent poster with a hotline asking for abusive men to turn themselves in and seek therapy for their behaviour. It was sickening. The second example is from one of the most popular television series in the UK, Eastenders. It frequently features women slapping or hitting their husband/partner with the expectation (sadly also the reality) that audiences go "Ohh fantastic, you go girl". Always struck me as cringeworthy. Switch the roles and this would have caused an outcry.

She was way smaller then me, so they honestly laughed in my face, asking what I did to deserve it. Or said that,"I had a real firecracker". No one took it seriously. It turned out to be the 3 darkest years of my life that has haunted all of my following relationships. No one takes it seriously at all when it happens to a man. It wasn't, by far the first time or last time something like that would happen. In fact, I was berated by a higher up for showing up to work with a horrible black eye. I was asked if that was how a person of my position was supposed to act. No one was even worried, just angry. Meanwhile, a woman at my old job had finger marks on her arm. Police were called and the man was arrested since they worked in the same large business. We live in a sick society.

I ended up standing up for the little boy against the principal, told my little girl that she is not to put her hands on another person unless that person get physical first and I apologized to both the mother and the boy for my child's overreaction. For the rest of the year after school the little boy would run up to me to say with a big smile "good afternoon" I guess I became his hero. In closing I just want to say let's be equal and fair to each other we all have the same rights.

Gabriel Lucero i once punched a (girl) friend of mine in the head. Reason was she a few days ago told my crush I had a crush on him for a laugh. (Was jus me her him and a mate of his around “. They all laughed and the boys pulled my pants down and laughed even more. I ran home crying in utter shame. After I punched her, the mothers talked ofc. But after I told mother why, she was on my side. Mom was fierce in that sense. I don’t believe in violence, or revenge. I’m quite against it. But glad mom supported me that time.

As a guy who grew up with women that resented men, called me stupid in public, and overall felt the hand of abuse at times, I can say that nothing feels worse or more shameful. One of my female friends as a joke once slapped me in public to see how I'd react, and while I was upset and very confused, the people around us turned on me immediately and started yelling. My friend thought it was funny and told everyone it was just a joke, but they didn't believe her, and thought I was intimidating her to say that. We haven't spoken since, and she feels SHE's the victim because I wrote her out of my life. I found out later she's kinda nuts, so dodged a bullet there.

As a male survivor myself, it absolutely blew my mind that I was nearly forced to take a titled “violence against women” awareness class at an area university. The only reason I didn’t have to, at least last I checked I didn’t have to, was because I’d already taken classes there earlier in life and had been “grandfathered in” without it. I may well have to take it if I went back, though.

I always find it funny how when a woman beats on a man in public people laugh and make fun of him. I've often heard comments along the line of he must have done something to deserve it. And yet should that man attempt to defend himself. Or if you reverse the roles. All you hear is that there is no reason to hit a woman while the white knights restrain him if not beat him down. And we incentivize this behavior in women. My ex-wife was rather abusive. She once attempted to crush my skull in with a wine bottle. One time she attempted to stab me. On another occasion she kicked me in my knee the day after knee surgery. Once she even went psycho on me with our 1 week old infant in my arms. All I could do was turn and let her pummel my back. At least three of the four times I called the cops. When they arrived. She had not a mark on her. I was bleeding and bruised. She lied and told them I hit her. Guess who went to jail regardless of the evidence. Oh, but there's no reason to ever hit a woman...

The roots of how deep this is within not just our countries society, but so many other western countries like the US, Canada and so on is generally scary. It is in fact what got me into politics, as a guy growing up and going into a private high school, specifically high school, me having to sit there and take this bullshit like we are all inherently bad is unbelievable. I admit it did make me angry, but I think rightfully so. I began doing research into many of the topics, such as the pay gap. I actually argued with my health teacher many years ago, about this very topic. I simply said there where literal laws that prevented discrimination within the workplace, going as far to cite them. She quickly got quite mad and it was clear she wasn't the only one. We live in a time where feelings matter far (but only to certain ethnics/genders) more than facts ever could.

Never in a million years expected this! Just stood there in utter shock. The shame and her laughter after that haunted me for years. I called the cops but I had a really hard time convincing them, that it was her. I’ll never forget how I was sitting outside this night, shaking like a madman. A female cop then sat beside me and was really nice to me and I then I bursted out in tears. I had a tiny broken bone but it wasn’t the pain that haunted me, it was the attack by someone I loved at that time and had protective feelings for her.

Why can't those crazy people who claim to be feminists use their energy for something more productive that actually helps women like helping girls get scholarships for STEM careers instead of harassing people with different opinions and villainizing men? The pay gap is partially because those career paths don't have enough women in them. Like domestic violence is bad but just like slut shaming there are horrible double standards involved that should not be ignored.

As a man, I want to tell other men to NEVER let anyone convince you that you that it's ok to be violent towards you. The worst part of this is that the strongest men are most susceptible to this manipulation but if they speak out about it they are viewed as weak. I tell the following not because I want any sympathy, but because I want other men to know they are not alone and that it is not ok and the longer they play along with it the worse it will get. I've always been the protective type. No, not in the overbearing and possessive way, but in the way that I naturally in my soul felt that I had a responsibility to protect those I care about. It wasn't a burden, but an honor. When I got married I took my responsibilities as a husband seriously. I would always try to make choices based on whether it "what a good husband and father would do" (she had three children already). Somehow my first wife managed to twist that back at me over time and convince me that it was part of my duty as a good husband to "Let her express her frustrations." If she had a bad day, I was there for her to vent. If she was angry about something, I was to let her "punch it out" on me because it wouldn't really hurt me. A few frustrated half-hearted fist-pounds later turned into swings. Swings turned into punches. If I were to raise my arms to block her attacks then she would become enraged telling me I'm not supposed to block. Fortunately, I had actually had quite a bit of martial training and it was nearly impossible for me to just "not block." Unfortunately, this meant that she was often enraged and would escalate even more. Punches turned to plates being thrown at my face. Pots and pans, glasses, a toaster, a griddle, even a chair, were all used to try and get past "my defenses" so she could actually "let out her anger properly." Fortunately, I was quick, and tough. None of those things ever actually injured me. Despite the fact that a slight hesitation or slightly wrong move could have landed me in the hospital I shrugged it off. Unfortunately, it meant that if I "didn't like it" she would call it ridiculous because she "didn't really hurt me." To this day I still have no idea why I let it keep happening. *I felt , and still feel, like the dumbest man alive.* Instead, I just told myself I should just be tougher. I would hate myself if I felt angry for being attacked even though I never once considered any kind of retaliation. It literally never even crossed my mind. After a while things got better. She kind of gave up on trying to use me as a punching bag because I was such a poor punching bag. That's what I thought, anyway. She had always been a kind mother, firmly believing that children should not be spanked and that time-outs, redirection, positive reinforcement, etc. were the only proper way to parent. However, she never did have very good patience. Again, I took this on as one of my "duties as a good husband and father" that it was my job to step in whenever she lost her cool and handle the parenting for her because, as she would say, "You're better at that stuff." Over time the frustrated glance that meant "you take over" changed to yelling and stomping away. That changed to screaming and empty threats of punishment intended to "make them listen." That grew to angry screaming and eventually she would resort to smacking our daughters across the face for "talking back." We had very big fights about that. I couldn't tolerate it. I couldn't let it happen, ever! I just began assuming all of discipline of the children from even the smallest disobedience or the slightest irritation so that she would never get to a place to lash out at them. It worked, but it should never have happened, and I should not have let things continue the way they were... but once again, I thought I was just doing what I needed to do. I thought I was being as strong as I needed to be, but really I was just enabling. I honestly loved her. Love can be blind. More blind than you can imagine unless you've experienced it yourself. It wasn't enough, though. My efforts only earned me more and more contempt. Working two jobs wasn't enough. Taking a nap because I only had 3 hours of sleep a night between jobs meant I was lazy. Well, you get the idea. Almost every day there was a good excuse for her to berate me and spew venom in my face. One day the stream of insults and belittlement and outright hate assaulting me from the mouth of the woman I loved crushed me into a state where all I wanted to do was disappear. I wanted to shrink into nothing to escape the torrent assailing me. I wanted to be unconscious so I couldn't hear it. The bottle of prescription pills I had been given for anxiety were right on the counter next to me. In the most irrational thought process possible I thought, "If one calms me, and two makes me sleep, then a few more will knock me out." I downed them without any actual rational thought having time to stop me. I woke up in the psych ward after my stomach had been pumped and had no memory of anything that had happened after I took the pills. I could have died... and I would have deserved it. That was my thoughts. I didn't blame anyone or anything, I just despised myself for it. I had failed. Things were never the same after that. Life kind of felt like autopilot for a while, until my wife told me "the truth." She said that she didn't love me, she never loved me, she was just using me to not be alone and she wanted me gone. I didn't believe her. I just thought I needed to be STRONGER. I would prove that I was worthy of her love and be a better father as well. I could do this! I would rise to the challenge no matter what the obstacle. Almost as if she had read my mind, she began showing me that if I wouldn't leave, she would MAKE me leave. If I thought that I had seen the worst of her before, I was very very wrong. Instead of coming at me head-on she took every opportunity to "push my buttons." No matter what she did, though, I just responded with even more tolerance. She wanted me to lose my temper. She wanted me to say enough is enough and give up and leave. I wouldn't. As the cherry on top she even invited her ex-boyfriend (the father of her three oldest) to live with us and made it clear that there was "nothing I could do about it or the kids would hate me." She couldn't stand the guy, but now they spent every day acting like best of friends. I never even consciously realized the game she was playing. *I was a fool; a complete and utter fool beyond compare.* During an argument resulting from her doing more things that should have made me walk away, it happened. Her oldest daughter, age 7, kept trying to get her attention while she was yelling at me. She finally spun and yelled at her to "go away or I'll smack your face right off!" I told her she wasn't going to lay a finger on her. She replied with, "She's MY daughter and I'll do whatever the F&%# I want to do to her!" Her daughter was still standing, horrified, just on the other side of the doorway leading out of the living room. My wife turned towards her and in that moment I snapped. I screamed, "NO!" and shoved my wife away from the doorway and stepped between them. I hadn't hurt her at all, but I still stood there looking at my own outstretched hands like they belonged to someone else. From my perspective I had just broken an unbreakable rule. I had struck a woman. I was scum. It didn't matter why. It didn't mater who I was protecting. There was no excuse. I had little chance to form another thought as I found myself being tackled into the kitchen counter, cracking two ribs. Her ex-boyfriend had responded to my actions by rushing me from behind. When I turned to face my attacker and saw his fist flying towards me, I instantly decided that I wasn't going to block. I wasn't going to be a punching bag. I was going to fight back. I hadn't even noticed that two of my ribs were cracked or that the frame of my glasses had broken and been shoved through my scalp. This "man" who always bragged about being an Army Ranger and would proudly state who he could "easily take down" every chance he got looked like nothing to me. I threw him to the ground and held him in a choke hold with my knee in his back until he gave in and signaled that he wouldn't try and fight me any more. I calmly walked over to the couch and sat there, blood from my head soaking my pant leg, until the police arrived. That was the end of my family. I had failed them. I hadn't failed them that day, or the year before, or the year before that. I had failed them the moment I decided that allowing my wife to abuse me instead of seeking help was the "strong" thing to do. It's never ok. It won't get better. It won't stop with you. You can't fix anything by just letting it go on. I know this is probably the longest comment in KZbin history, and I know there's way more detail in there than necessary. I just hope that anyone who was in my shoes... I kept writing and writing because I hope that anyone who is being abused and is in denial or afraid to do something about it might relate to just a few sentences. They might see themselves in one these situations and recognize the truth. You CAN be strong! ...strong enough to change your path! Get help for you. Get help for them. If they won't be helped then leave. Whatever makes you think you have to "just live with it" or that "you can make it go away" is a lie. *You don't deserve this, and neither does anyone else around you!*

I had a friend who is a real gentle giant. He works in a muscle heavy job so 250 lb of pure muscle 6' 5". He had a phyco girlfriend who got into a verbal altercation with him with witnesses. He told her it was over so she went off on him raining punches on him, scratching him and even hit him with her beer bottle. All in front of witnesses. When the police arrived she ran to them yelling " he hit me he hit me it was self defense". So in spite of every witnesses saying he never touched her even when she was wailing on him and her having no injury whatsoever he was arrested. With 2 black eyes multiple contusions, lacerations, and a broken nose from the beer bottle. He had to spend several days in jail and for a while they were actually proceeding with charges on him. She never went to jail for attacking him and never faced charges for the multiple injuries he suffered. So when another friend was having an altercation with a drunk crazy woman I put myself between them so I could tell the police when they arrived that there was no way he hit her. I placed myself in danger because I trusted my friend I was facing him so he could see that I was there to protect him but that meant that I had to have my back to the crazy woman. Many times when police arrive all they see is little woman big man and they assume that the man is the violent one

Shocking I'm currently having to sofa surf on my sister's sofa, thanks to a controlling abuse women. I'm out of work due to bowel cancer (currently in remission) my disability payment when to her joint benefit claim and she would leave me with hardly any funds for my basic needs. She would swear and call me names in front of our child (14 years old). She would say if you don't like then leave. But I know she will make access hard for me. After about 6 years of abuse I stood up to her couple of days ago so she kicked me out. Not all women are kind and because they are a woman they think they can't get away with it

You are SOOO AWESOME, I love how impartial and objective you are and this is just another great example of that. I have had this exact conversation and cited that same video clip and a bunch of different studies in similar situations where women were one sided. There is statistical data that shows that in fact women perpetrate a much larger amount of assault in relationships than men do. I see this in play regularly. Any person who goes to the local bar can see this happening every weekend, where women slap, berate , punch and assault their boyfriends in public and NOTHING ever happens. I also know that from personal experience several of my friends have been slapped and punched hard by girlfriends so any number of reasons. One of my friends actually was beat so bad he had to leave the house and slept in our cardboard recycling bins behind out work just to get away from the situation. Point is, this is definitely a two way problem. Assault is assault and it must be handled with exactly the same outrage and punishment. Great job and highlighting this issue. Well done !

At home one day and my wife got mad at me, reason unknown she just does that. She is punching me and I am blocking the m. Our daughter comes in the room and I pick her up to take her into her room, she doesn't need to see this. My grabs a knife and begins swinging it at me. I turn quickly put my daughter down, she's about two. I take the knife away, put my wife on her belly and I am taking off my belt to tie her hands behind her back. The police arrive and things are explained. They tell me to leave, I want to take my daughter but that is wrong I suppose. My wife runs out and pulls my plug wires off. The police hang around until I put them back on and I leave. Her actions while the police were there meant nothing, I was still forced to leave my daughter in her hands. No things are note correct at times. There is foolishness leaving a toddler in the hands of a violent woman and forcing the man to leave.

Long story short she kicked me alot and then again and again, after that I lost my cool and I kicked her a couple of times she begins crying and moves to a different seat. We both had to write an email to the princeple explaining what happened then he would send it to the other family. And you want to know what she wrote? In her version I was the one that kicked first and she never kicked back. Luckly, we were able to clear up what actually happened. And the only punishments I got were a few extra chores and a couple of letures and stories. Im not sure if she got punished, but anyway thanks for reading!

During my last year at uni, one of my flatmates was an ultra feminist who loved arguing. She would often ask me things, just to start a sort of debate. Anyway, once she asked me ''Who do you think should be dominant in a relationship?" I said I didn't know, because it's not something you think about. Then she was, "At least if the woman is dominant, she won't beat the guy." Also, she would occasionally tell me how, despite being small, she could fight me and most likely beat me as well. Anyway, feminists these days behave like crazy lunatics.

almost 15 years ago I had a neighbour that was always getting abused by his wife. She was bigger than him and used to abuse, belittle & physical assault him on a daily basis (even in front of their children) I know for a fact that he did not hit her back EVER because society dictates that it's wrong for a man to hit a woman, regardless of the situation. One day I heard her screaming abuse at him ( more so than usual) you could hear her clear as day threatening to slit his throat while he was sleeping & another terrible things. ( all in front of their kids mind you) later that afternoon I saw him in the backyard and invited him over for a beer and a chat. Ask him what was going on & eventually (though reluctantly) he told me what had been happening and that it was at the Point that he actually was starting to fear for his life. I told him I can't keep going on like this and tried to convince him to report her. When he went home he copped more abuse for having a couple of drinks with me. Later that evening he came over again almost in tears. i said enough was enough & i drive him to the local police station where he told them what had been happening. Well, the police just laughed and made fun of him for getting beaten up by his wife & Basically laughed him out of the station. (NO REPORT WAS FILED) I offered for him to stay at my place but he said no and went home. That night he HUNG HIMSELF. I told the police AGAIN what was happening prior to his death. There was an investigation into his death & even with 10+ character witnesses against her- no charges were laid. I even went to court as a witness against the two negligent police officers that refused to file a report & laughed him out of the station. But it was their word against mine. ( you can guess who won that) And even though she knew it was because of her, she still played the victim & got sympathy from everybody. He was such a good/kind man and a great father. There was a great Injustice to him on so many levels. I feel partly responsible for what happened to him myself. That's why I want to tell his story, so he didn't die in vane

As a female who read most comments abouy women abusing men, I'm terribly sorry. I know that many of people get abused, but for real, the women who give reasons like "He cheated on me!" "He deserves it!", right after giving men physical and emotional pain? It's really unacceptable, but I don't pretend to understand or know most of men's problems. What matters is the truth, if you did nothing wrong then you did nothing wrong! Be prepared for most things, know that there are people who... Are not that kind and special, both men and women can be suspects and victims, one thing I hate about women abusing men is, women are more cared about than men these days, I'm completely upset that there is no true equality in these situations. Utterly. Disappointed in society at points.

And I am very sorry for your experiences, you don't deserve all of that. You can show emotions and if possible, move out. Im a male 18 yr,and lived an alright life so far, ive had a very supportive mother although my father and step father paid no attention to my life my mother divorced them both for very solid reasons, ive had to deal with strife frequently though but that aside,. There is an big issue about whomever holds the power in a relationship or any foot hold over someone else, and those who are power seeking, most males can dictate how most of life plays out because they've had that position already which is unfortunate, I dont have a problem with a little bit of feminism helping balance those aspects but the extremists (m/f) arent making it any bit easier by victimizing others or taking advantage of anything they can corrupt to feed there desire. We need to cut the shit and give everyone their fair opportunities.
@qp4904
@qp4904 5 жыл бұрын
Bridgette you may like to explain to rape victims why they are treated as if they caused their own rape. There is no equality of rights and opportunity, which is what Feminism is. And no, I am not a Feminist as I appreciate the difference between genders and find they can be helpful. Being realistic, if there were equal opportunity for both sides to be heard regarding domestic violence, in all likelihood no one would be punished because unless you have it on film, there is no actual proof. Just take the young man who locked his hook-up on the balcony at night after yelling at her..she tried to climb from the balcony to escape and fell to her death. He walked free (because apparently she was drunk too and it was her fault). Just like the young man who was caught after raping a 7 year old recently will probably walk, just as he walked after allegedly raping a 9 year old. It is not even as close to simple as you think. If you paid attention to the video and ridiculously OLD studies and tv footage (decades old in some cases), it said in Victoria 89% of reported rapes are against females. It also said 77% of domestic violence reports had female victims. Yes men are also victims, I had a partner once who was previously assaulted so badly by his girlfriend that she hospitalised him on several occasions. Yet, he refused to hit a woman. The bigger picture, and one we are all failing to open our eyes and see, is that people CHOOSE these people to live with and have relationships with. Some pretend to be nice and then go violent, but the disrespect surfaces a lot sooner than people want to admit. They just ignore it. Their partner starts to make fun of them and call them names. They stay. That's the beginning of the end. We have to acknowledge that people need to be responsible. Sometimes we do end up somewhere we don't want to be, and this is why we should make sure that if our partner is not respecting us, we leave. Simple as that. The respect dies long before any violence starts. We are just all too cowardly and lazy to pack our bags and go. This is not decades back when women were forced to quit their jobs if they got married. Men don't legally own women anymore. People can leave, and they should, no matter which gender is the victim they should get out and be safe.
