This is the rebuttal I made about some statistic that male abusers are more likely to kill their partner or something. Sure. When the female abuser is the one left standing, she knows she can report it as self-defense. And since about half of intimate partner violence cases involve both partners abusing each other, it probably makes it easier to claim it.

"The argument got physical." a lady in my town was having an argument with her boyfriend. he was in the bedroom, and he said he wanted to leave the house. this is known because there were witnesses. She stood her ground in the doorway and shot him twice in the chest. shot an unarmed man dead because she felt threatened. The punch line: she wasn't charged with anything, and didn't even spend the night in jail. I suspect women get out of punishment because they are better at communication. Ladies talk their way out, where a man tends to tough his way out. In court the talking method works way better.

As a single dad who raised my son and won full custody of my son after my ex abandoned my son with me at 8 weeks old. She decided to come back and want him a year later and then tried to make up lies about me to get him. The judge saw through her lies and awarded me custody and I was the 1st man in my county to win custody and 4th in my state of Florida. She refused to pay child support and I really didn't care, so she paid as she felt (which was $35 every other month or so). I appreciate you bringing light to this subject. One of my co-workers was accused of sexual assault by a customer, but an investigation proved otherwise as she was the one who was sexually harassing him. He was moved to a different location, though I wish the customer faced serious consequences for false accusations.

I live in Oklahoma, USA and in 2013, my girlfriend had put drugs in my drink and I passed out after one beverage. When I was unconscious, she then beat me with a blunt object. She called 911 after I was bleeding all over the bed and floor from wounds on the back of my head, neck, and back. The police came, as well as an ambulance and I was taken to the hospital, where I spent a few hours in the emergency room. After I was stabilized, the police took me to jail. I had no wounds on the front of me, which would suggest she was defending herself. She was never arrested or even faced any threat of charges. I assume it is because I am a white male with tattoos... After I was released from jail (13 days later) all my personal possessions had been sold by her and I literally had nothing to my name. Just a pair of socks and a small dog blanket which I guess they threw on me when they took me to the hospital, not sure. The file from the emergency room even indicated that had I been hit in the head one more time, I would most likely had either died or suffered serious brain damage. She was never charged with anything. Why? Because she is a woman and that is all. I was the victim in a violent crime and because I am a white male with tattoos, I am guilty. In truth I served the US Army for 9 years and was deployed twice to the Middle East. I have an honorable discharge and no criminal record. But, that still holds no weight against a female who just needs to claim she is the victim.

We lived in our house in fear, after years of abuse and covering up her crimes when she did get arrested the charges were dropped. Finally I installed cameras indoors. When she stabbed me I had to actually FORCE THE DA to prosecute or take them to court instead. They gave her 7 days in jail. But I made sure the Divorce and Family court knew about it so, we won all 3 kids full custody, the house, the cars and my Business 100% intact. Taking the actual abuser out of the home means we can live free of fear together.

Yes. That's one of the reasons why the black community in America has such a ridiculously high crime rate. Mother often are the nurturer while the father is the punisher, think of the "wait till your father gets home" trope. Without a father you have the support from the mother but no punishment from the father. The black community is over 3/4 single mother, in America. Simple rebuttal to these Feminists. I will grant you everything you say, women are more likely to be in these situations that should allow for leniency. However men can also be in a similar situation. So if all their reasoning, you know the "Think of the children" arguments, are actually worthy of consideration. It makes no sense to take a gendered approach, because men can be poor, victims of violent relationships, single parents. Hell I actually ticked every single one of these boxes this time last year. Also, the Philippine actor, Vhong Navarro, a male who became a victim of physical assault and defamation from a female, along with her male company. Despite the following 'double Standards' which is the most unfair one, people (men and women) felt the sympathy about the incident and became very supportive of him, they begin to lash out at the female accuser. Since the system are surprisingly competent enough to investigate and found out what happened, both she and her male company got arrested. After long days of recovery, Vhong went back to the show, and being happily welcomed by his friends, staff and his fans. This took me a lesson from the beginning, knowing that "no gender is perfect", said Pia Wurtzbach the Miss Universe 2015.

Just being honest, when I was a child I had more violence committed against me by women than I ever did men, and by that I mean girls, as opposed to boys, because we're talking pre-teen years here. After teen years, I was threatened by more young and older men, but almost consistently because a woman was behind them telling them to do it. And no, I never did anything to deserve it. I was completely inept socially and generally meek and polite, unoffensive; having grown up with a somewhat broken, (maybe a lot broken), family, abusive stepfather, and poverty, I spent most of my time out of school working at home until I was fifteen. By the time I was 16, I was so clueless about being social, you'd have thought I grew up in a cage, and to some extent, figuratively speaking, you might have been right. Anyway, I'm not sure why any of that ever happened, but I figured out at some point that women are often behind what a lot of less reputable men do, with one or another motivation driving them to push those men to do things they might not otherwise do. Ironic? I don't really think so actually. I think it has more to do with these men being easy to control, (and willing), and the women taking advantage of that to get things they want, whether that be a bit of excitement watching a guy scare someone or beat them up for them, or bankrolling other forms of entertainment. I wasn't quite so ignorant by the time I was 20-25, having been on my own essentially, from when I was 15 on, and seeing quite a lot of the underside of society, regardless of my involvement with it, being, well quite honestly, ignorant, unaware, and completely lacking in judgement, as well as poor, and taking friends where I could find them. You can't afford to be picky, or judgmental when you're poor and have no real connections or network of family and friends, and it's not so hard to keep your morals and ethics to yourself once you realize no one gives a shit about them. I used to try to steer people towards what I considered a better lifestyle, and better choices, morally and ethically speaking, and what I actually found was they only tended to be that way when I was around them, and later, they had ended up going completely the opposite direction, and becoming something I couldn't abide, without my knowledge, because they had kept it from me. Just an interesting note. You can't change people, and you can't help them. They are going to be who they want to be in spite of you, and perhaps because of you. Do we tend to make people want to be our polar opposites, when we encourage them to be more like us, or criticize certain decisions? I don't know, maybe; if so, I've possibly made a lot of people worse than they might have been otherwise. Anyway, just observations, from a long time ago. I don't involve myself with many people these days, or spend much time getting to know anyone outside of work. I've found I don't like most people I have gotten to know, or they don't like me, or there is simply a lack of any real common interest regardless for people I have somewhat gotten to know. Yes, I'm aware gotten to know is sort of an American English thing, which would other wise be acquainted myself with, but somehow it sounds far more descriptively accurate under the circumstances. I have a few friends, but that's it. They say Men tend to have fewer friends as they get older, and this causes them some stress and anxiety or something, and that's bad for their health. I'm not one of them. It doesn't bother me a bit. I have good reason for only having a few friends: People suck. I don't regret it, and I certainly don't think there is any good reason to have more.

Like, kick you in the ass, then lump you from one end of the yard to the other for being there, and make you work from when you got home from school to when you went to sleep, all weekend, and all summer, with the exceptions being days he took off. From 5 years old on. Not figuratively, or sort of doing chores; literally as hard or harder than any job I've worked as an adult. Some people don't get that I had my entire childhood in what was essentially Trades Work and Machine Operation. When I was looking for work as a teenager and young adult, people would look at me like I was a complete retard, because of what I put on my resume as work experience. I learned to just leave out everything, because they were expecting nothing, and thought I was lying.
