My youngest sibling, my brother made the mistake of stealing my dads car once . He had a bad habit of stealing things from me and my family when he wanted them and we told him no. This habit kicked in when his biological mother rejected him and only took interest in his biological sisters (my family was a foster care family I and one of my younger sisters were my parents biological kids but honestly you can’t tell my four other sisters arnt related to us we look so alike) well on the occasion of the grand theft auto he was put in jail and this marvelous time happened when one of my sisters was getting married in a few days, well my brother was going to be in lock up during the wedding and for a while after for his actions. He in his infinite wisdom used a phone call to ask/tell my sister to postpone her wedding for him. My now awesome brother in law took the phone from my shocked and upset sister and told him to F off and never demand anything from her again. And chewed him out for stealing my dad’s car. He thankfully has grown up and out of his kleptomania and is trying to not be a fool these days but sometimes he does a backflip into the sea of stupid ideas.

Tiffany is delusional. How would buying a car for a person WHO DOESN’T HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE help that person to get around?
@SandraNelson0639 ай бұрын
We were a two car family for a while. My brother's car, because his university was a very long way a way, was about 3rd hand, and a bit run down. My mom's car was shiny, well maintained and usually 3 yrs old. She drove to a nearby school, and worked as a teacher. Dad and I took the bus. We had to go all the way downtown. I never learned to drive, as the possibility of getting my hands on either car was a big Nope.

With all of the specialized LEGO sets, I know a lot of people in their 30’s and 40’s with collections. Especially the Star Wars sets. Video games and LEGO don’t make the guy a child, no one enforcing consequences for his actions is what did it. However, this is another story about the antagonist becoming a victim of abuse. I would rather hear that the doofus was locked up for crimes than hear that they are forced into indentured servitude with their human rights violated in this way. Just have the dad abandon both kids to their own devices and make them earn their own way. No need for surveillance and taking away the model’s phone. How is she supposed to get jobs to continue her professional life without a damned phone.

Okay, not that I’m defending Corey’s actions by a landslide, he definitely crossed some lines, but can we not automatically assume that LEGO or video games equal immaturity? Most millennials have gotten to the point we’re never going to own homes or have much of a future, let us have hobbies that at least give us some enjoyment. Greg shouldn’t be ready to throw someone else’s belongings to prove a point.
@TheJinx14419 ай бұрын
It's one thing to have balanced hobbies, but it's another to be consumed by it and have nothing to take someone out of it. You can have whatever hobbies you wish, but, if you're becoming obsessed with it to the point of having nothing to do but that hobby, it becomes a problem. And, sadly, as fun as they are, anime and video games can be pretty addicting and one hell of an escape from life. In Corey's case, he saw himself as lucky that he didn't have anything to interrupt his hobbies and didn't have anything productive to balance him out and also a bit of fear that he would be nothing with nothing to his name if anything went wrong, so he sunk into video games where he could be anyone but him. And the results were plain to see. He saw life as a video game of sorts and himself as the plot-armored main character with his sister as his support, with the OP as the BBEG(Big Bad Evil Guy/Villain) trying to get him out of his beloved hobby and into a "dull, boring" life of responsibility. And in the end it worked, in the exact opposite extreme to what Corey had prior. Where he once had endless indulgence and static, he now has to endure endless activity and austerity. Though it would be nice to have a video-game loving protagonist that got shit done, though.
@thecornettmultiverse9 ай бұрын
@@TheJinx1441 I don’t disagree at all. If anything my hobbies in writing and video games have provided not only a great stress relief outlet but wait to improve my social skills and work abilities. My issue is that these stories have a bad habit of using things that traditionally were associated with children as a shorthand for immaturity and laziness. Say what you will about other channels in the Appleverse umbrella, but at least over the last six months a good chunk of them have gotten better about trying to subvert character development tropes.
