Apple is screwing over iPhone 15 Pro buyers by holding out the new 5X 120mm telephoto camera, which it is only putting in the iPhone 15 Pro Max, which cost an extra $200! The iPhone Pro is not as "pro" as the Pro Max, and it really makes me mad.

@@stiiizyguy7070 I use 13 Pro, maybe just me but in reality 120Hz can heats up your phone just after 1 hour. Therefore I use LPM to limit its refresh rate so the heat buildup is gone and more fantastic battery life

I'm jumping ship from android for the 1st time with a 5 year old phone( One Plus 8 Pro) and it has 120 HZ! That's a deal breaker for me. Because I've gotten used to 120 HZ I genuinely get headaches at 60HZ. I can absolutely notice the frame drop.

Yes very true. Im not sure if i like this or not. I remember the Samsung S5 with removable battery. The phone was feeling cheap and flimsy. Removing the backcover you hade a thin plastic cover very cheap looking and feeling. Maybe new designs can help in this regard but im not so sure. I can remember what happened with mobiles with removable batteries when they we’re dropped by mistake. You have the battery, battery cover and the rest fly in all directions 🤷🏻‍♂️

Can’t say I’m surprised that apple put the extra zoom on the 15 pro max. Apple use to always do that even before there was a pro series giving the bigger phone more features . They started it with the 7 plus that was the first iPhone to have two cameras. Then at some point they started to make things more equal between the two versions . Now here we are again . It's gotta be USB 3.2 Gen 1x2 or 3.2 Gen 2x1. USB 3.2 Gen 1x1 previously known as 3.0 or 3.1 is only 5 gbps. But they could have used USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 (20 gbps) or USB4 (40 gbps). Honestly 10 gbps is fine. I just wish they did Stage Manager like on the iPad Pro or Dex on Samsung, but we do get 4K mirroring even on the regular 15.

On one hand, saying its only possible on the Pro Max due to space is fair. The cameras are already huge on the iPhone end, its starting to squeeze in the smaller model. Hence the rumor of 6.3" 6.9" models next year. On the other hand they could've upgraded the 3x on the 6.1" 15 Pro instead of copy-paste from the 14 Pro.

They did this with the iPhone 12 Pro Max at 2.5 x zoom so I guess on the 16 pros they will get a 6x zoom on both. If it follows that pattern. Good news in UK we get £100 off the iPhone pros or the same in £ & $ I suppose we still pay more but at least it’s back to iPhone 12 prices. I was getting the the 256gb anyway due to pro raw limited to 1080p but no need now as pro raw only works on external storage

@@DjangoGroen I stand corrected. 12 Pro Max sensor had slightly larger pixels and sensor shift OIS and 2.5x optical zoom instead of 2x optical zoom on the 12 Pro however I think the difference between a 3x telephoto on the 15 Pro and 5x telephoto on the 15 Pro Max is still much bigger than that. The difference between the 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max would hardly be noticeable.

the only reason we buy new phones nowadays is for better cameras. on the regular Pro model all the cameras are literally identical to the 14 Pro. same ultrawide camera as in the 14 Pro ...Same 3x telephoto camera as in the 13 Pro!! the 5x Periscope camera to me is an absolute no no , a 3x camera with a much larger sensor and a decent 10x digital zoom would have been a much better option. the 77 mm is such a perfect focal for portrait shots.

Keeping my 14 pro max no point in upgrading it really is the same phone besides usb c. If you don’t do a lot of file transfers it’s pointless your faster charging isn’t going to help you in real time. USB C to lightning and a good brick will charge nearly as fast. The funny thing is most people can’t afford the biggest and best model but always think they need it and buy it due to financing.

I think people are missing one key aspect of this Apple IPhone 15 Pro/Pro Max announcement.. and that’s they literally just introduced the next generation of gaming if they can deliver on what they announced for ray tracing and running modern pc/ console games at a better quality then consoles are obsolete very soon. Just think if you’re a game developer are you going to make a game for a console with a limited market to release to or would you put it on iPhone where millions of people have access to it?

Seems simple; the folded optics of the periscope telephoto lens require the extra internal space that the Pro Max chassis has. I’m buying the regular Pro since I don’t want a phone any larger than that, and while I’d love to have the 5x telephoto I definitely don’t feel like Apple is screwing me over somehow just because the smaller Pro doesn’t have that feature (because it physically can’t).

Thank you for your video; I agree 100% with your comments, Apple is pretty sneaky here by not outfitting the Pro with the newest camera and I too don’t want a big bulky phone …I have had a bad experience in the past with system data growing on its own and eating up space and you can’t delete it…Apple says iOS and system data would use up about 25GB on the 15 Pro Max …(10 to 12% …) what has your experience been with system data? Normally 256GB would be plenty for me but again I am concerned that system data will take over quickly…

You bought Pixel Fold and Galaxy 5 Fold for almost 1900 dollars each. If you want the telephoto camera 200 dollars is not a lot considering you spend more for foldables and they are bigger.
