Fact about cinemon is his voice actor was a jamaican named Samuel E Write he also voiced sebastian in the little mermaid. People claiming racism about the characters accent makes no sense since it's how the voice actor talks irl.

Look at how they massacred my boy! But seriously, I still remember Apple Jacks pre-"Cinnamon & Bad-Apple" early 2000's era as well as their reveal in 2004. Iconic marketing. Sadly, this kind of "30-second cartoon" marketing is likely dying-off for good alongside the television cartoon-blocks they inhabited. Kids' attentions are just directed elsewhere, between streaming, video games, and the internet as a whole. The times, they are a-changin'.

- That first ad is so cursed I remember seeing something like that, maybe even that ad lol. I also remember another ad for a food I saw when I was 4 and I remember it being something that rly freaked me out but I don't remember it exactly - Limited collector's edition shapes lmao, someone is gonna have to collect all the different boxes with the diff shapes for a full collection now - Wow I didn't know a cereal could have this much lore with TV ads, games, arcs, etc. typically I only remember one off ones, the fact that cereal ads can have arcs is pro - Oh no I hate how that font is capital letters apart from the i - I don't recall if I had edible straws, but I remember the one that turned the milk into milkshake Nesquik I think - Seeing Frosties as Frosted Flakes is so cursed because Frosted Flakes is the off-brand name here - Omg Apple died that's why the box changed, the real lore revealed only on the Tad I Guess YT Channel - He's [real] indeed

Coming back to these commercials (after so many years) always brings a smile to my face.😊 Both from seeing how different marketing was back then, compared to now. As well as also pure nostalgia, and high excited I was to see new commercials like these. Speaking of commercials with storylines. I always seem to recall the (Cheetos) Undercover Chester ads. Anyways, thanks again for this fun nostalgia trip/history lesson. Also, I can tell that your using the main theme of Funkiki Island in the background. Nice choice of music.😀

I looked up this video after noticing the new designs looked so bland, after having mentioned to friends the maze on the back of the box can’t be solved. Now I know why, the mascot changes were made without fully updating the back of the box so the new designs cover more area than they should. 14:52

Hold up, you're telling me the concept designer for the crappy _Masters of the Universe_ remake that Kevin Smith directed is also responsible for waking up the Cinna-Mun and Bad Apple? A commercial dissing apples while trying to sell a product called Apple Jacks is a choice. It was messed up to make cinnamon a stereotype though. The guy who wrote the article had good points.

It was cool to be "rebellious" in the early to mid 2000's, and what better way to do so than by sticking it to "The System™" by dissing healthy fruit in favor of sugary spices. Kids were willing to overlook the name-discrepancy so long as it was for cool reasons. Worked on me, lol.
