When people come over without getting permission FIRST they have serious issues and you need to change your locks and put a second set of locks that can only be opened from the inside. The MIL letting herself in and doing an inspection and throwing out the contents of the fridge is WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. I think this couple need to move FAR AWAY and not tell the MIL where they live. She is off her rocker. She is costing this couple so much money with her throwing their perfectly useable things and food out. Grrrrrrrrowl!

The first time MIL let herself in to my house uninvited, she’d get a talking to and the key taken from her. If she had duplicate keys and did it a second time, the locks would be changed and security cameras installed if not already there. End of problem. Tell her off and change the locks.
