She probably didn't press charges on him. divorce and a restraining order were enough to bring him down. hit them harder through their wallet. there are many women and sometimes men in situations like this. if you have a friend or loved one you haven't heard from in a few months after they got married or in a relationship, check on them. social media, a phone call, or a text. no response and you know where they are, pop up as if "you're just in the neighborhood" deal.

He did not at all love his baby. To him the baby was just an annoying source of noise when he wanted to sleep. It is actually impossible to love a child AND treat the mother terribly or love the mother and treat her child terribly. Its a package deal. As soon as he abused the baby's mother it was proof that he did not love the baby.

A better alternative to a "restraining order" in my opinion is to arrange for him to be living in a hospital for six months. That gives his ex wife time to make other arrangements. And make sure to do permanent damage so that he is not physically able to be a danger once he is released from the hospital. Just saying.

In a miscarriage of justice, the owners of the triangle shirtwaist factory were acquitted because it couldn't be proven that they knew the doors were locked. Just 2 years after the fire, one of them (Max Blanck) was fined for locking the doors again at their new factory. Apparently all those deaths didn't weigh on his conscience at all. To think he was willing to do the same thing and risk hundreds more lives just for a little extra profit.

My daughter dated a possessive guy. Who locked her in the house. He kept windows locked too. So windows would only open about 5cms. An my daughter had to squeeze out of 2nd storey window an climb on to me an her dad's shoulders. While the guy was on school run. Then we got in car an went back way to school to collect my grandson. Even though my daughter IS his mother the school phoned her now ex an I had to tell her to know her rights so school could not stop us taking my grandson even though they tried too. So my eldest son grabbed my grandson an we legged it to the car. An my daughter an grandson moved in to my house for 2yrs till they got their own house. I have no regrets getting my daughter out of that situation. She had been with the guy for 6yrs by then. An his controlling ways got worse once he realised how unhappy she was. An he tried an failed to keep me out of her life while she was with him. Which is the only reason I was able to help her escape him. As once I knew he was locking her in. I was having none of it. An I set my plan in motion. I planned it down to the minute he left on school run lol. An it worked perfectly. An my daughter got full custody of her son. He is 15yrs old now. He was 5 when this happened.

Where women were not considered equal to their husbands. Thing is, those 'good old days' were from the time boomers were kids having to live under the thumb of their Traditionalist gen parents. Wife beating used to be legal. That is where "rule of thumb" comes in. The law used to stipulate that a man could not beat his wife with a stick bigger around than his own thumb. The law was flawed because different men have different sized thumbs and if a man had a badly swollen or deformed thumb then he in theory could have legally used a baseball bat on his wife. They instead should have had a set regulation sized stick that all husbands could use. Of course I am just being facetious but my point is that even laws that allowed abuse were not very well thought out.

I was so angry hearing her just succumb to his mistreatment and her taking it and telling his Mother something different when she clearly cares for her well-being!

my now ex husband also locked me inside out apartment with our then three year old. it happened after he snooped into my laptop that i didn't have a password on and found a story i was writing. the two main characters were mine and a friend online's. it was a sort of intimate story, but the kid and i weren't intimate at all. he was 16, i was 22 at the time. it was literally just using his roleplay character with mine because they were both angels. anyway, he accused me of cheating on him with this kid all because of that story. didn't matter that the kid was a minor or lived states away. he also said i was cheating because people, guys especially, would stare at me whenever i left the apartment with him. DUH of course they would stare when they see some random girl they've never seen before....and i was really pretty when i was younger. he even went as far as to take the internet/phone cable to work with him so that i couldn't talk to anyone, not even my mother, whom he promised if i ever wanted to return home to her, he'd let me go. instead he said he refused to let me go to my mom's because it was an excuse to run off with that kid. we also found out i was pregnant with our second son, which he denied immediately. he denied the kiddo all of the pregnancy and up until the kiddo was 9 months old. we were even evicted from that apartment because i was too depressed to even get out of bed and he "forgot" to take the trash out whenever he went to work....and i couldn't because he locked me inside. we lost custody of our oldest and i was threatened by dhs/cps that i'd have the baby i was pregnant with taken from me at birth as well. i finally had enough and a female friend i met online just before i found out i was pregnant had moved to me to help with the kiddo and she was also my first actual girlfriend. my ex thought that her moving in with us would mean a trio....except i stayed in her room with her and never in his room with him. when the kiddo was 9 months, the girlfriend and i took the kids and left. technically i was still legally married, but so over the marriage the moment he denied the baby was his....so when i met my third son's biodad....i guess you could call that cheating since i was still legally married. the ex sued me for custody on the kiddo's first birthday and by the oldest's birthday the next month, they were taken from me and given back to him. that led the guy i was dating to abandon me....all he wanted was the benefits, that i never got because i couldn't reapply when i had an open case in the state i lived in with my ex. anyway, guy didn't want me and allowed himself to be caught cheating on skype with his second baby mama....except he doesn't accept mine as his, and neither does his mom. i was forced back to my ex because i had no one else, the girlfriend moved back to her family and 16 yr old son who had just become a dad of his own before she moved down to me. the ex was willing to accept the kid that wasn't his as his and i knew it was a trap back into the marriage. he said as much saying that he'd accept the kid if i came back to the marriage. in front of his lawyer i told him there was no way i'd let him claim a kid not his when he continued to deny the kid that was his. the lawyer asked if he wanted a dna test, he said no, and the divorce continued. because i was stuck living with him and didn't have a job or any financial support, i knew i couldn't take care of this new baby on my own. so i made the choice to give him to a couple who were unable to have kids. they were the ex's best friends from school and they needed him and he needed them. sadly they divorced and because of how i gave them custody, the mother was unable to take him with her and the father got into some dr*gs which resulted in his half brother taking the baby. i haven't seen him since feb 2020 before schools closed, but i know he's doing okay because i see posts on fb. he'll be 13 come feb and i don't regret giving him up. i have since moved out of my ex's house, though i rely on someone else to pay my bills.....and my ex constantly belittles me and tells me i am a pathetic worthless excuse for a mother because i am not financially stable. but i am doing my best, my kids understand i am doing my best. 3 more years until 2nd kiddo is 18 and able to get away from dad too and then we'll all move overseas. oldest to japan, 2nd to ireland and i'm hopefully headed to south korea.

@@jaclynsanture6643 actually, he did get covid....gave it to our oldest who was 15/16 at the time, forced our oldest to stay with me until kiddo could be tested, which meant i got it and he knew i needed to go to the store for food, but nope, have the sick kid instead. the ex got tested a couple days later, as did our second son, the one he denies, but that kiddo was negative. he was pissed that he got covid, blamed the kiddo despite working at walmart and getting it there. but resumed normal schedule of him having them during the week, sending them to me on the weekends, instead of quarantined for 2 weeks....he also didn't stay home himself and continued to do whatever he wanted, which included shopping....he didn't show any symptoms for the entire 2 weeks until the day before he went back to work, but didn't even bother taking another test to see if he was covid free or not.....went to work while still positive and showing symptoms and actually said "i already got it once, i can't get it again".

He traumatised her so much, she ended up believing that she was at fault, you could see that when she spoke to his lovely mum! My ex was like that, always blamed me for everything, when we had two tiny children and he didn't help at all.

Could some one explain to me why women marry men like this to begin with. My wife would be waiting at the door with a ball bat if I treated her this way, and she would have every right to. Its just maddening that these characters have no spine. Communication would've solved this months ago.
