One thing these nasty old people forget is that the daughter-in-law that they bully will get a big say in what kind of geriatric storage facility they end up putting the mother-in-law in to.

Why is the wife still living in the house with the MIL and possibly husband. The MIL is a witch and her husband is an A hole. She needs to run away from that horrible family. Talk to your husband about the witch. Alex is a jerk if he's cheating. What rich wife would want to be related to the witch. Please talk with your husband about his horrible mother. She needs to call the police. The evil MIL should go to prison. If the husband is cheating he owes her alimony and child support. She needs to sue MIL

It’s kinda funny how the MIL is spelled as “Mother in Low” on the message chat board 🤣😅 thus proving to be quite the villain and bully for OP! Anyhow hope MIL gets punished and rots in the misery of her actions towards OP, in Hell! 😡😤

How do you clean without hot water? No hot water doesn’t get anything clean. Dose this still go on today? 😱😡🤬
@AuntLoopy123 Жыл бұрын
You can clean with cold water, but you have to scrub 2 or 3 times as long. I learned this, when we were fighting C-Diff in the house, and were told to wash EVERYTHING cloth in the house in a hot-water load in the washing machine. However, the hot water had been disconnected from our washer before that, so we were told, "Just wash everything 2 or 3 times, then, before you put it in the dryer. It's the friction that really does the job. The soap and the heat help. Now, when scrubbing with cold water, in cold air, and using bare hands, and having to scrub extra hard and extra long, it's just going to make the "dishwater hands" five times worse.

This reminds me of two other stories of MILs doing this type of thing. Both stories the DIL was locked out onto a balcony. In one of the stories the MIL died of a heart attack and in the other the MIL was arrested and put into prison. There were divorces in those two stories. I am glad that the hubby loved his wife in this one and that the MIL was just evil and delusional.
@AuntLoopy123 Жыл бұрын
As soon as the person who is bullying you admits that they don't act that way when others can see AND makes an assertion about your spouse cheating on you, you take screenshots of the whole thing, and IMMEDIATELY (ideally while still texting with the MIL, and gathering more evidence) send it to the "cheating spouse." Either they'll confirm, and you know it's time to grab the kids and run, or they'll say, "WHAAAAAAH?!" and then you continue to send them screenshots of the ongoing bullying, live. Heck, livestream it, if possible. And as for being locked in the other apartment, with bars on the windows, if you can open the windows, then open them and SCREAM. Also, keep moving. Exercise will help to keep you warm. Get something bright, and wave it out the window. Try to flag someone down. Also, THERE WAS A LANDLINE?! OP should have called the police, right then and there, and showed them (again) screenshots of the MIL's confession. But, seriously, I understand why OP was already so weak against bullying, as a result of being raised by bullies and treated that way. Abuse was her "normal." However, I would hope that she told her beloved about her past abuse, before marrying him, and got his promise that he would never abuse her, nor allow her to be treated that way. And then, THE FIRST TIME the MIL treats her that way, start gathering evidence to show the husband. MAYBE wait a whole week, so you have a good amount of evidence, and you're still hanging on to your strength from before the abuse (especially when starvation is used against you), but NO LONGER. And if you were NOT raised with abuse, and think it's "normal," and you know that it's all wrong, and that a man who loves you would put a stop to it, then why allow it to continue, at all? I get people being sucked into an abusive relationship with their spouses, the one who is supposed to love them most, and protect them. Usually, what happens is that the spouse starts off all sweet and charming, and gradually changes, but not before they manipulate their victim into cutting off all friends and family, and support networks. Then, the victim is trapped, by the person they should be looking to for protection. But if you have the loving spouse, who would protect you, if he only knew, I don't understand keeping it all quiet. Also, if a person bullying/harming you says to you, "Don't tell so-and-so," the very first thing you should do is to TELL SO-AND-SO, preferably with recordings/evidence. I learned that from Gavin de Becker's "The Gift of Fear." If the person threatening you with a gun in a crowded room tells you, "Hush. Don't make a scene. We're going to go outside for a chat," then you scream your head off. True, the person might shoot you, but your odds of survival go WAY UP, because of all the people around to offer assistance. Plus, the person holding the gun KNOWS that if they do follow through and shoot, they'll surely go down in court, with all those witnesses. They'll have no choice but to start shooting others, until they are overcome or run out of bullets. And most people won't do that. It's better, in a court of law, to be caught with a non-smoking gun, that hasn't been fired, yet, and a plea of "I was only threatening. I wasn't going to follow through," than to face a judge with literal blood on your hands and a smoking gun. In short, ALWAYS do what the bully tells you NOT to do. They are signaling their biggest fear and their biggest weakness. Unless they're crafty, and playing the "Don't throw me in the briar patch" routine, but frankly, that's really rare with bullies.

Love means empathizing with the loved person so this bullshit about allowing yourself to suffer in silence so your loved ones can be happy is impossible. Either they are suffering because they find out their loved one is suffering, or you're allowing yourself to suffer for the sake of someone who doesn't love you.
