@@BruinPhD2009 That may be not so easy.....blocking someone when the person just can start using a new phone and new account. And still does know the old number to text to. And when yopu're working like Hannah it's always easy to find contact info on internet (may be less so for an idiot of a MIL) because Hannah must be reachable for custpomers.

Girls are trained from an early age that they have to "make sacrifices" for the men in their lives. It sucks, because it has given too many men the idea that their "pride" and their happiness are more important than the self respect and the dignity of the women in their lives.
@citadelofwinds1564
@citadelofwinds1564 Жыл бұрын
@@ladyv5655 , Exactly. A lot of it comes down to early training and conditioning. My ex-mother literally tried to raise me as a household slave with no rights whatsover. I was a female, and that meant I could never say No to a man, no matter what the situation. She made it clear that my role was to be used and abused by men, aka the "masters", and I needed to keep my mouth shut and never complain about how I was treated. I did fight against it even as a child, because I knew it was crazy. However, when the programming starts at a very young age, it can take years or even decades to undo all of the programming.

Also also, NEVER agree to "save face" for a spouse by letting them claim they pay for everything when it's actually you. Face it: YOU DESERVE BETTER. A mate who has to "save face" with a lie like that will have relatives who will try to claim YOU are the parasite. You deserve a spouse who ISN'T afraid of their partner earning more, or paying more, or whatever the imbalance is. (Just remember that they should redress the balance in some other way, such as doing more of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, etc. Someone who demands you support the lie that THEY do all the paying, while NOT doing any housework, etc...is NOT a worthwhile partner!)

She probably should have called the cops on her son but then again she's too scared to try anything past run away when she had the chance. Something also tells me Thomas is going to eventually do something that leads to getting arrested anyway. Until then(and even then) the both will live separate lives in misery, Thomas alone with no money & eventually being locked in jail or prison & his mom living elsewhere but traumatized by her son, the monster she created.

So Brenda eats at a steakhouse for lunch and fish for dinner. She ought to think about her weight.

Remote work, or as I like to call it, Zoom work, had been a thing for years by the time the COVID pandemic hit. But the only Zoom the MIL in this story did was to Zoom off to all the wrong conclusions.

I was wondering where Thomas was in all of this. Seems Hannah escaped in time. Not sure what she was doing being married to him if she didn't trust him enough to let him know how much she earned. Or had to lie for him. Red flags already..... Also would have been an evil plot twist if she cut off their credit cards while they were in Colorado "Hope you prepaid your flights & accommodation!" 😂😂 Since she was probably paying off the cards too.

So who is to blame here. The monster MIL? The childish husband? ( Oedipus complex) the wimpy, mousy wife who enables both of them?

It pisses me off when these women, the victim put up with so much bull and maintains being nice when many women in real life would have already started curing out the MIL.

If these stories are true (and there seems to be a lot of them) then it just seems ignorant not to be aware of remote work especially since 2020. In fact, most employers prefer it. It saves them loads of money.

For the record, BRENDA, using a computer and knowing how it operates are different matters entirely. Get with the times, woman. You're clearly trapped in the past if you think working from home is "Sci-Fi". It's time for a divorce, I guess. Rather keep my mental health all nice and good for a job that actually appreciates my existence than stay with such a stone age family.

It upsets me these wives keep this abuse from their husbands. Like if my mother ever talked to my wife like that she is gone mother or not. The opposite isnt good either but stories like these. The partner gives red flags.

I love both my daughters in law.. I stay out of their business. If they want my advice, they have to ask for it ,and I always make sure to support their decision regardless of my feeling. I had the MIL from hell. She was so bad She called me by his HS..GF name 😂 I just ignored her, my daughter once told her in front of the entire family my name..😂😂

Never like these that end up with the “main character” leaving someone else (e.g. mistress, ex-mother-in-law) in an abusive situation without even a referral to some sort of social service. That is disgusting revenge. Yuck.
