A good follow-up on this story would have been her not only getting remarried but also either being pregnant or having a child. The ex husband definitely was not a man. I have seen 5 year old kids who were more mature than that.

Nothing like "fuck around & find out". I hope the ex-FIL was able to live a more peaceful & happy life away from his family those five years he lived despite the cancer. Then again it was probably better after leaving his useless family behind. He at least was able to keep the only good person from his old life around. Probably passed with his ex-DIL by his side knowing he made the right choice. I wonder how the mom feels now? She's been thrown away like she wanted to do to her husband if not for the money & now she can't live in luxury. Even worse she's likely going to be thrown out again by her own son cause she couldn't down size. It's likely her fault her son became like this & was her "partner in crime" when it came to mooching off the dad & being terrible to OP & now she's going to lose the only person she has left.

Mama's boy is going on a date with his mom and leaving his wife to care of his father. Did they do a spouse swap? Why is she apologizing for not having children? Why do mama's boys get married instead of staying single since they are in love with their mother? Why isn't DIL reporting hubby and MIL for elderly abuse? Why not ask his mommy to cook for him? I thought they were going on a week cruise not a two month cruise. I wonder how many people thought they were husband and wife. I guess him and his mommy can both get jobs. FIL paid for the house from the job he worked while MIL didn't work. Technically, he let them stay with him. Now, FIL can use that money for nursing care. The soon-to-be ex-husband probably doesn't have a job if he can go on a two month cruise to Europe. That's why he's panicking. It's too late to apologize. He does have a job; she has a pension. It might be a part-time job. It was nice of her to continue to visit ex-FIL.
