Just upgraded from the 4 to 10 and really worth it tho . The battery life and bigger screen are the game changer . 10 is more than enough for general user . Ultra is more sport oriented , active users .

@@1TimMo4 its up to you but I've never ever run out of battery of 10 and need only 30' to charge up to 80% which is more than enough for my daily use .

Also Series 10 is more accurate with sleetracking etc as it's lighter ans smaller. There are videos from a science guy who compares all watches. Series 10 and 9 better than ultra

Been holding off purchasing my first Apple Watch. Stainless and aluminum styles were too risky because of my nickel allergy. The 10 Series changed all that! I just purchased the larger natural titanium model and have had no reaction, plus the silvery metal with just the plain black band looks spectacular with few additional dollars spent. The learning curve is SO high, but getting there slowly. 👍🏼😅 LOVE IT!!

Yeah, I feel your pain! But remember, you don’t have to purchase your watchband at the same time you buy your watch. I discovered dozens of different places that are not apple related or Amazon related that you can buy really cool watchbands for the Apple Watch. All you have to do is, match your mm of the watch to the band you’re gonna buy

I tried to incorporate that more with the whole golf stuff towards the end because I was using my watch a ton for that and the battery life was disappointing but honestly, other than battery, my experience has been the same for the last few years.

Still rocking a series 6 which has the same optical heart sensor as the series 10 and ultra. As a runner this is important to me. Waiting for a new generation sensor to upgrade or until they obsolete this watch.

I do a lot of endurance cycling where my Ultra 2 has to do a lot of battery intensive work (GPS, cellular, constant heart rate monitoring, etc.). Under these conditions, the Ultra is the only Apple Watch that meets my requirements. But others don't need this level of battery performance and other versios of the Apple Watch could understandably be better choices for them. It great that we have choices! 🙌

Definitely didn’t expect to see golf in a macrumors video but, based on your GHIN activity, it clearly looks like you’ve caught the golf bug! I’ve only used a whoop band the last few years since breaking the face of my series 4 watch. Glad to hear that the ultra 2 battery holds up well with the golfshot app as I’ve been using their app for gps help when playing unfamiliar courses for the last 15ish years. Have a bunch of insurance rewards saved up and was trying to decide which Apple Watch to buy. This looks to be an easy decision now! Cheers

2:29 dude. Wear the watch military style (on the inside of your wrist). Or even other arm I do both. Gives my wrist extra time for the skin to get air. Just doesn’t help the watch tan line. lol.

So I’m still rocking the series 5, which I got a new one of 2 years ago under the battery replacement program. So far no need to change it, but to Ultra users, does the battery actually last 2 days, like general use and 2 sleeps? If not I will go for the 10 (or 11, or equivalent that is available at the time I choose to upgrade - which won’t be anytime soon!)

I understand why the watch might be uncomfortable for you. Just sleep with a watch it almost has to be a simple sports watch with the rubber band and soft rubber casement around the watch itself. However, haven’t said that these watches keep track of other things other than sleep apnea. They can provide, an EKG/one node report, and more importantly, they can keep track of any arrhythmia like a fib and send you warnings. And yeah, you have to wear the watch for 30 days plus. That’s so the watch can provide you with a history of how your heart is behaving. I have a fib. It’s kicking my ass and I’ve been in the hospital a total of 20 days over the past three months due to a fib. In fact, as I write this comment, I am in the hospital once again and I’m in the process of buying a watch. I’m definitely gonna go with either or an ultra or an ultra 2. And this is just me period as much as I’d love to buy a titanium model. It’s just too expensive. I’d rather get the aluminum and have as much good software inside to the device kind of don’t care about the outside so much but this isn’t just a style thing for me or even a watch. It’s actually more like a life saving device. One more hint after being frustrated on the Verizon site of not being able to see what bands were available for the models I was interested in. I suddenly realized that I didn’t need to buy a band at the same time I bought the watch. Duh!

Agreed. They first introduced the AOD way back on the Series 5. Even back then they said the display could go all the way down to “1 hert” and yet they never did seconds hands on any of their faces. Also worth noting these faces that do show the second hand only work on the Series 10 so for whatever their reasons they did not add support this new feature on older Apple Watches despite the fact they seemingly could?
