Upgrading from a series 7 in starlight to the ultra 2 in black. Definitely looking forward to it. The moment the ultra came out I regretted going from the series 7 to the 3, felt like I should have waited a little longer.. But now I’m glad, the ultra in black is looking awesome. Ultra gets more battery life, brighter screen, and generally a much more rugged build and deeper water resistance rating. Is it better? I wouldn't say that... It's different. If you want a rugged watch, Ultra. If you want a sleek smartwatch Series 10.

Had a Series 8 and older before. Always had mixed feelings about the ULTRA, but got this one in on Friday. Really the Series 8 is still very good, just wanted the bigger screen, and Action Button seems it can be kind of useful vs the Series X. If I had a regular Titanium in the ULTRA though, I would not have bought one. I feel next year will be a better year for these. Not sure about the scratch resistance vs the Titanium, but will see.

Nope, it's not really a paint it's a PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) coating that's essentailly made out of carbon and bonded to the titanium that creates a diamond like scratch resistance. It's unlikely to peel but it can scratch if you hit it hard enough.

This helped me decide to get an Ultra 2 instead of a 10. Being at an Apple Store and trying both on with different bands helped me decide to cancel my Ultra 2 Black order and get one in natural titanium instead. There was something about the finish that didn’t look right. An Apple employee nailed it for me, saying it took away the titanium look to the point of looking plastic.

I just don’t understand the need for a Bezel. Would be so much better without it considering you have the titanium framing now. Thanks for the close view video. If you want to be fair the ultra 2 doesn’t need upgrade : The ultra 2 has a 3000 nits , the s10 has 2000 nits The s10 chip is the same as the s9. The only différence is the conception. S10 chip is in 1 level while the s9 is in 2 levels Ultra 2 has double battery life Maybe in sept2025 the ultra 3 Will Gey a wide screen like the s10 but there is nothing else to expect

Looks awesome, unfortunately I had to cancel my pre-order. DC Rainmaker has a video out there clearly showing scratches on the bottom of the watch after dragging it across concrete, but then is trying to deceive people saying it is "tree fuzz" lol. When I called him out on it, he blocked me from commenting, but those are the first scratches I have seen so far. It's a great looking watch, but it's just hard to justify the money, on the black due to the scratches being more prevalent. Kind of wish they had an all black Alpine loop as an option. Good video!

Your delivery time is in October because you didn't order it fast enough so they sold out of all of the early devices and you will have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd shipment of watches. You could try to find it in a shop somewhere that might have stock and then cancel your order from Apple.
