I'm a RAM truck guy and I think its the best truck on the market...BUT its OVERPRICED!!!! This price complaint is coming from a guy who makes great money but I don't want to pay for something that automatically loses value and gives the dealers and manufacturers an EGO saying "look people are buying even with insane prices" The company needs to string up their CEO who got a raise and passed it on the consumer.

Bought 3 Dodge/Ram trucks in the last 20 years and they never had to go back to the dealer for anything ! Just did normal wear and tear stuff with local shops .

I will say this again and again on these videos. This guy is basically just a sales person for Apple Autos. These videos, and by extension him, are extremely disingenuous. There is another video where he's "reviewing" the Dodge Hornet, and hes calling it a reliable car, but during the test drive a park-sense error light pops up on the dash, which he must have missed in post lol. He often uses thumbnails calling certain cars "the worst" (which is normally a rightful title) and then praising them the whole video, giving the illusion that these cars are unfairly called terrible. Believe me, these new cars are called terrible for a reason. This is not a real review, he is trying to sell you a truck. Look in the video description, and go to apple autos, they have a backlog of exactly these types of vehicles he "reviews."

Oh yeah 100%. I work at a dealership and have several friends who work for FCA at a dealership level. So I talk about this with people on a fairly frequent basis and NOBODY is talking about 5 year old styling being the reason for less sales, it is always price, value, reliability. If styling had anything to do with anything the charger and challenger wouldn't be selling for as long as they did, because those cats have used the same styling for over a decade basically. Dudes a shill trying to not offend the auto companies so he can get his bag, I get it. But the reality is the ram doesn't sell because it's terrible value and people KNOW it's going to be unreliable.

I just saw a 2500 Rebel diesel that was discounted $18k. Other 2500 diesels were discounted $16k or more. Seems they can't give them away right now.

I wanted GM trucks for my company and bought 6 gassers because of the driveline, but the seats and suspension are HORRIBLE. My partner traded his AT4 Duramax in on a RAM due to the rough suspension and uncomfortable interior and got a 2024 RAM. I just got a 2024 RAM as well. We bought 2 RAM 2500 crane trucks and the isn't any comparison, comfort is key when you're on your tools.

Price, power, payload, dated, 68RFE. Rumors of upgrades in all these areas (except price) for 2025 is stifling sales. I wonder if it’s going to happen. They better show up big time in those areas. If buyers have basically the exact same truck and drive train from 1,2,3,4,5,6 years ago, what is the incentive to drop 80,000 for a new one? I love em. Don’t get me wrong. Just stating my thoughts on the slow sales. I hope they get it together. 30,000 off msrp on a 24 longhorn, I’ll be there to buy the NOS.

In my opinion I think the payload plays a big part of it. The Ram 2500 is limited to 10k gvwr. For the gas that's not too bad as it leaves about 3k left over. However with the diesel you're looking at only 2k of available payload. There are some half tons that come close to that kind of payload. Both GM and Ford scale up the gvwr to account for the diesels. At least when i was in the market price was an issue too. At the time a similar spec'ed Chevy was about 8k less so I went with the Chevy. I actually would have preferred the Ram due to its slightly smaller size.

My 2016 Ram 2500 with 260k miles is starting to cost me money. I wanted another Ram but they changed to hydraulic lifters I think in 2019 and having issues. Go back to solid lifters, 6’9” bed like Ford and GM and lower cost and I would buy another one.

Ford has had the same basic body 2012, with slight changes to the front end! GMC/ Chevy made a body change but not really for the better. Ram has by far the nicest interior of any truck.

The 2500 lacks payload due to the coil springs. My '17 F150 has more payload than my buddies 2500 Cummins

There are 2 reasons they are not selling. I believe the main reason is payload. The Ram still uses a 10k gvwr which puts most of the 2500s with diesels at 2200 lbs or less of payload. The other manufacturers bumped their gvwr to 11,300 or more. The other reason is price which is finally being addressed with discounts. Also you are unable to get the HO cummins in the 2500 and the 68rfe trans has a bad rep.

It doesnt look old. 5 years isnt too long for a front end design. They need to quit tweaking everything all the time. It makes parts cost a lot more when they are for a 2 year only span. Tired of everything having to be "all new" all the time. It doesnt make any sense.

Very solid truck and good looking. But it’s a bit outdated compared to ford and gmc. It should be priced lower than those two. Because it is the oldest design from ford and gm. A new complete exterior refresh will definitely get sales going again.

They need to up the 10,000 GVWR a fully loaded 2500 from ram has they payload of a 1500 that is a huge problem.

6.4 for Ram and 6.6 for GM.....there is no 6.2 gas for the HD segment Ram got truck of year during covid and shot their pricing thru the roof....best thing they had was value, that was their selling point....than their ego swelled up and now are one of the most expensive based on sticker.....even the 1500s for 2025 have huge incentives already....most dealerships havent discounted the price enough to make them attractive for buyers....thats the bottom line along with Ram not being known as a quality product overall....I owned one and it just felt cheap, even with the 12in screen problem with 2500 is payload is horrible and bed is too short....the other 2 have Ram beat in most categories and are updated, the Chevy has best pricing currently.....that Laramie your reviewing probably stickers for 85k plus and can go to 90k, well north of GM...all dealers need to drop 20k off those if they want to move em, and they will at some point....and yes resale is absolutely horrid for Ram trucks

It's a VERY "outdated" platform in most respects for the heavy-duty line of pickup trucks. The front-end hasn't even been refreshed since 2019. And it's been said the cab section has been used since 2010, actually 2009 in 1500 Dodge/Ram light-duty models. In the Cummins 6.7 liter turbo diesel models (which Ram far outsells over the gasoline heavy-duty models) still only uses a dated 6 speed automatic transmission in both standard output and high output motors. Ford and the Chevrolet/GMC GM heavy-duty diesel 3/4 ton & up models currently use a heavy-duty beefed-up 10 speed automatic transmission. Now also the Ram has been even outdone in the low-end torque depending (usually a Cummins hallmark). The current high output 6.7 liter Ford Powerstroke puts out more torque than even the 6.7 liter Cummins + 75 more hot too! The current GM 6.6 liter Duramax's also put out more horsepower. I myself don't care for the massive "vertical" touchscreen infotainment system over the horizontal screens in the GM & Ford heavy-duty models. Also it's been said and proven that the 6.7 liter Cummins turbo diesel models are appreciably slower speed-wise & in acceleration over the 6.7 liter Ford Powerstroke + 6.6 liter GM Duramax diesel pickup trucks. Also NO if, ands or buts, but that 6.7 liter Cummins is still also louder inside/outside over the other 2 competitors diesel engines. And in general Stellantis, Fiat/Chrysler haven't really made that "quality" of vehicles in quite some time. Ram has even put more effort into refreshing it's light-duty 1500 series of pickup trucks with revised front/rear ends, brand-new engines etc over the heavy-duty 2500 + up trucks. And Ram as a whole are very expensive, overpriced in both 1500 and 2500 and up trucks. So quite a few reasons here why atleast in my opinion they've become such lackluster, poor sellers!

I hope your kidding. The ram 2500 cummins is one of the best trucks on the road. The cummins is very very good. Also lower sale rates is based on price and most people that buy a cummins keep them for almost ever so they don't need to buy every year. They are very expensive trucks and in this economy everyone is struggling. Please don't use terrible when it's not true just because people can't afford the truck doesn't mean it's terrible. These trucks have been around for decades and are proven. Maybe click bait or you know nothing about trucks?

yes, the way it looks makes it sooo much better than any other truck. FYI, the number one fleet truck? The Ford F-150 is the best-selling vehicle in 2023 in Canada and the United States. For the 58th consecutive year, the Ford F-150 remains the best-selling truck in Canada with 123,267 units sold in 2023. The reality is that fleet purchases are not based on how it looks but how it works and costs to operate. The sole reason F150 is best is because it lasts and is least expensive to operate and fixes are needed less. Ask me how I know this...
