I have the same fridge in maytag. it freezes stuff in the fridge part. We,ve had 2 repair guys out and neither fixed it. Any idea?

I have a top & bottom fridge / freezer, indesit INCB310UK . I have no idea where the defrost timer is , the control panel is between the two, to the front but only has the thermostat/off knob (one control only for both fridge & freezer). The fridge freezes because it doesn't cut out. Can you suggest where I look ? Also I could replace the thermostat but how to locate the long "wire" section as it lives within a plastic sleeve that disappears inside the unit from the control panel. Can you advise how to do this please? thanks

Hey,Matt I have a Frigidaire side-by-side refrigerator freezer. And my evaporator fan comes on and off constantly. What could be the issue here thanks. I did charge it up, but it still comes on and off constantly Appreciate everything.

The fan motor will cycle on and off. It should only be running when the compressor is running.

@@appliancepartspros it’s cycles on and off on and off on and off every 10 seconds. Now it’s running constantly and has some shut off for over an hour. I’m an HVAC technician but I don’t know much about refrigerators. This refrigerator is a Frigidaire about 24 years old. I recently added some R 134A and it helped out but the fan issue is becoming a problem and like I said it’s older refrigerator.. any suggestions would be very helpful for me thanks.. plus a lot of things on the top shop of my refrigerator. It’s freezing probably because it never shuts off.

@@appliancepartspros not 100% sure on that..I ordered a fun..but not sure if that’s the problem..something else is telling this fun to run.when took the cover off to inspect fun,the coil did have ice on in. But not terribly bad..board is probably bad..🤷🏻‍♂️

I have Electrolux upright full size freezer, accidentally put a screw through an evaporator 3/16 inch steel line. Can I cut line and put compression fitting on, and will it work, or will I have to solder a copper couple on? Seems like compressor runs all the time, don’t know if that is normal, feels hot to touch, there is no visible fan or lines to clean seen near compressor motor. The timer is 12 hour. Is it normal to run all the time and stay hot to touch?

Just bought a Maytag and the compressor runs constantly. Every time the door is opened the refrigerator will run and will run constantly. Bought the extra warranty from Sears and they do not want to stand behind it. Our electricity bill is about $20.00 a month higher with this refrigerator.
