Thanks. This fix worked perfectly. Very easy. I wish I didn't need to have the appliance repair guy come over to diagnose the problem for $90. I am glad he didn't have the part. He was going to charge me $200 to install the part which was easy and quick.

Thank you - worked perfectly, your video was awesome, you got the parts to me in Hawaii in just a few days. I seen others complain about getting the spring back on - super easy guys, just start at one end of the spring and work your way back to the other side of the spring, it will slip right over the lip, you will need to pull on the spring slightly, but not hard. Also doing my research, others failed the same way mine did. It had gone off balance and started shaking, when it did that it broke one of the plasting latching arms in the lock itself - you could look in to the door lock area and see the part that was broken. Entire job took about 15 minutes, thank you again.

Thank you for your video. I was able to order the parts (from Amazon.ca) I needed and did the repair myself. I saved lots of money on a service call that took me all of 15 minutes to do. I did it slowly so I didn’t damage the boot. All that was broken on the latch assembly was the little pin that pokes out above the top screw. The whole part cost anywhere from CD$75-$125. I might have been able to epoxy that little pin back on, but it would have broken sometime in the future. Thanks again.

After looking at the door latch assembly further, I found the male plastic fitting (found on the door) that inserts in the latch assembly (on the washer) loose. It had about 3/8" of play to the left and right. I tightened up the screws, placing the male plastic fitting in the middle of range of play. NO part or major fix

if your washer does need a new door lock assembly, does it gives out an error code? bcz mine is very difficult to start. i press the start button, but it works sometimes, and sometimes it doesnt work. no error code. thank you.

My washer stops in the middle of washing. When I shut it off the door light stays on and the door remains locked. I have to unplug/replug it to get it too drain. But in drain and spin mode the door lock seems to function fine. Is it the board? Help pls...
