This video helped tremendously. My water flow gradually slowed down to barely a trickle and the ice maker kept making smaller and smaller ice, so I replaced the water inlet valve. That did the trick with the water flow, but then my ice maker stopped making ice. I checked the new inlet valve was good by checking with a multimeter and hooking different plugs to different terminals, and all inlets and outlets of the valve worked. The ice maker unit was working just fine, just no water getting to it. At 3:50 of this video is where my issue was resolved. The plastic piece that snaps into the back, I was convinced there was blockage in there but I didn't know how to get that piece out. Watching you do it, I realized I just needed to pull harder. So I clamped it with a vice grip and pulled, and it popped out. Water had frozen it shut. Probably from the slow water flow. So I melted that ice and cleaned it with vinegar, popped it back in and re-connected the green tube, and now it works. I learned a ton from this project and saved hundreds of dollars and gained a lot of knowledge in the process. Thank you for the missing piece to my puzzle!

Oh WOW you just saved me a ton of bucks, also seeing I'm missing the locking assembly, so will need to order that.

The portion of the line that extends into the icemaker fill bucket is likely too long so you'll have to trim it to match the one you removed.
