I live in a house in Portmore and when i first came here that was the original mathes box with living dining and kitchen basically in one room and now the house is a three bedroom with spacious living area and two bathrooms and kitchen expanded. People can sometimes only see today but not what it can become tomorrow.

Remember, the land space, land in St Catherine, 3.5 million up, while NHT will only give a person 6.5 million to build one like this and only 2.5 million to buy the land. 6.5- 2.5 you now have 4 million, to build what they are selling you now, a lot of people take the money from NHT buy the land and at the end, they are stranded with one unfinished house, most Tim one-bedroom, shabby looking house Not everyone qualify for the 6.5,, _ I was told that some people qualify for 3 million , 4million ect.

A lot of people talking about the house small , them Dont have savings , have big family to care for, work less that $15,000 per week. Why talk about the house and most of you cannot a ford to buy it Qualify for less that 6.5 million at NHT, the bank will not lend the money. Yet, They use the time they have to visit their income and make a change in their life, use their bit of data service to talk rubbish, and they cannot afford a 6 million dollars house, much less a mansion gated community.

Hi, J$6 Mil for Duplex Studio Unit & J$7 Mil for 1br Detached unit, these are the prices of the units in phase 1 and will not increase for same. For other phase I don't believe the prices will be the same. Deposit & Closing costs are payable immediately if selected.

Hi, good question. I myself have the same question so do many as this is an important factor to consider for any home owner. I honestly can not say though. At this point research and insight from ones who really know the culture of the area is best. Lets not forget that this area will be fully developed with police station, business shopping centre, schools to name a few. Catherine Estates is apart of the whole Bernard Lodge Development. Not really because right now those houses are about the same size as the ones i Portmore and if you see many houses in Portmore now after adding on they are huge. One bedroom now can turn into a 6 bedroom house later on.
