@28:37 You added 3 from the vernier scale instead of adding 2 from the vernier scale. Not to worry, your calculations was then only out by 1 ten-thousandth of an inch, due to human error.

Hello Sir at 28:40 you added 3 ten thousandth when it should have been two ten thousandth with a measurement of 2.5827 not 2.5828 because of confusion on your behalf between 2 and 3 ten thousandth indicator aligning properly. Please correct me if I am incorrect, if I am I apologize due to confusion in my behalf

No worries. The last digit in any measurement is always an estimated digit, never a significant digit. Either 2 or 3 is close enough

Yes: 2.575 + 0.003 = 2.578, then + 0.0003 = 2.5783 Watch those zeros

it all depends on the measuring limitations or design and purpose of the Mic you're using some stop at thousandth some stop at ten thousandth it all depends how precise your measurement needs to be
