Mets in 2007 had 16 losses in games that they scored 6 runs or more. Thats insane and tells you just how horrible their bullpen was. Those are stats that you see on teams with 90+ losses

​@@hmhm856They also didn't have a bondafide ace. Traditionally you give the ball to your Ace to give your pen a rest and stop a losing streak. It's a miracle the 06 team won 97 games with the rotation they had. I guess you can call Glavine the ace of the 07 staff, but he sucked eggs and only added to the losing streak in September.

After today, the Mets are now 3-1 in 4 games against the Phillies in 2007, all 4 games played in April But its all downhill for the Mets against the Phillies after today, as the Mets will go 3-11 in 14 games against the Phillies for the remainder of the season, which included a 3-game-sweep at Shea in June, a 4-game-sweep in Philly in late August, and a 3-game-sweep at Shea in mid-September
