Such a wonderful album, yet so many folks are unaware of its existence. The songs are all brilliant, with Clapton laying down this beautiful dobro part, along with his 'foot tapping', which Glyn Johns decided to mic up for the track. RIP Ronnie Lane.

A brilliant songwriter. In time, hopefully, more and more listeners will come to appreciate just how good he was.

Ronnie Lane was such a special guy.. Great musician, writer, entertainer & a warmth to his character that was tangible & obvious - in an innocent, understated, modest, humble, yet talented & gifted way.. His music reflected this on many levels - something other muzos consistently fall short of.. Ronnie stood out - that's undisputed.. His vulnerability made him loveable - as well as his music of coarse !! Rest In Peace Ronnie Lane.. Peace Rxx

It honestly breaks my heart that more people don't know this song. The song itself is beautifully depressing.

So pleased a street was named after him in Manor Park. A real East London legend. Now can they put a blue plaque up on Stevie’s old house in Strone rd??..

Ronnie Lane perhaps the most under-appreciated of all the English cats from the British Invasion.

Such an earthy, homey, song... you'd think it was from America's Appalachian Mountain Country, and that's a compliment!

If an alien came out from space and landed on the planet. If he asked me what bliss is or truly being happy looks like. 🎉I would put this video up to show him 💯,saying these words * this man best describes what a really happy guy looks like* Ronnie Lane is that depiction of what we all want, Bliss,🕊️ and that's exactly what he got, so happiness went everywhere with him and boy how he loved his music 🌹💯. 💔💔 At the end of his life he didn't have much material things😢. left, as his illness brought him to being broke. However, he left this world with a big smile on his face, because he had a beautiful loving family. . RIP Ronnie

Some historians speculate that April Fools’ Day dates back to 1582, when France switched from the Julian calendar to the Gregorian calendar, as called for by the Council of Trent in 1563. In the Julian Calendar, as in the Hindu calendar, the new year began with the spring equinox around April 1.
