This is the only procedure that worked out of all the other methods i tried... worked right away the first time. I just used a metal bar in between the caliper after i took it off instead of an old rotor but it works all the same. I also used a mityvac pump as well.

Great video. I have tried a few other methods (traditional, and reverse bleeding) and nothing has worked very well. Reverse works way better than traditional, but it was still a bit spongy. I broke down and bought a vacuum bleeder and it worked. I set it up just like you have it, and the result is a rear brake that actually stops my bike. Thank you sir.

I'll try it this way but I reckon you should also elevate the drain pipe to the vacuum pump. I think you will see then you are pulling air around the threads. Grease around the nipple can stop this (sometimes).

I am never convinced that small air bubbles are not getting past the bleed nipple threads. So before I start I always put PTFE tape around the thread area of the nipple to make a seal.
