Hi April! I wanted to say that I purchased the magic tape a few weeks ago because of your last salon video and I LOVE IT!!! I have fine relaxed hair and even when I was natural my hair is very breakage prone and I believe the flat irons play a part. Every since I have been using this, my hair now feels much more moisturized, soft, and the flat iron is no longer sucking my hair dry. I am completely positive that I will now see length retention and I will never flat iron my hair again without this tape. Never. I also wanted to add, I went to the original link you provided for the tape and because the shipping was the same cost as the tape I decided to go on Amazon. They have the exact tape (same package) you have and that’s what I ordered for a much cheaper shipping price. I also put in a second order to have a back up. I wouldn't recommend it. The oils from your hair would lift the tape and you'll find yourself changing it often. I totally understand where you are coming from though. Thank you for watching 💞

Lol ! I didn’t know this was something that salons do bc I’ve never seen one but . I myself have been using Teflon on my flat irons for yrs . I actually learned this from an old friend of mine . It’s much cheaper to use Teflon and heat tape

I can honestly say that I have very poor flat iron skills. I am more of a Tymo girl. I do like that this is a healthy way to apply heat. Perhaps I can try it again.

Okay, Im really intrigued but I cannot find much online, no reviews on YT and only a small tiny itty bitty handful of stylists talking about this online, there was a whole thread on Reddit buuuuut it got mysteriously deleted and I can no longer find it. I saw this in the Dominican salons in NYC an was intrigued but I cannot find ANY other info on it.

This tape is mainly used by professionals that provide Brazilian blowouts so you're not gonna find much about it. Professionals don't always openly talk about the tools they use to the general public. However, it is available to the general public and affordable. I'm not trying to convince anyone to purchase it. Could you put relaxer on the iron and heat it up a little and wipe it off to get the residual tape off or no? I've heard it said somewhere that you can clean build up off that way.

I use Kenya Moore Shampoo & conditioner, Wella Brilliance deep conditioner. Aphogee leave in, followed by it's a 10 leave in conditioner and Kenya Moore hair serum.
