Also, I did this paper as a mock in March 2022. In Q4, I think you missed a key point about the mention of cinderella. Perhaps she is fairy tale and made up or from something completely not earth related?

i think you should mostly agree but use 'perhaps' 'could' 'should' to make it look like your looking at both perspectives

A balanced argument won't always give you strong marks. If you have enough references and evaluation to back up your decision, you will be fine. A balanced argument is equivalent to taking one side so there's no need really.

you can as long as it's not the main part of your evidence e.g. briefly linking back to other sections of the extract to reinforce your point :)

yeah, somehow i got a 9 in my mock by writing about how rosie was tired and overwhelmed at the start of the extract which could make the stranger child a hallucination. i only realised this just now and idk if it was a mistake from my teacher's part but take from that what you will!

I hadn’t even realised until now, but the fact that it was allowed makes me believe that you are allowed to reference other parts of the extract for context, just not pull quotes from them in order to use as evidence.

Sir, for question 5, can you describe the picture but add a plot to it? Such as the tranquility or heinous atmosphere at the beginning then introduce a tragedy and resolution? Or can you not do that for a description of the picture? Please help me im really confused

@@samburn9946 does it have to relate to the image? For example, if there is an image about the inside of an airport or school (or something else random with no water in it), can you say how maybe a massive tide or wave destroys the area? Then describe the aftermath of the school/airport

@@rohan_snj 100%. It doesn't have to relate to the image all that much as long as the examiner can see that it relates just a tiny bit, it works. For example, I've got a prewritten q5 that I've memorised and I've used it for about 12 different questions and have just altered a single paragraph slightly, gets me almost 40/40 every time according to my teacher.
