Such a great looking boat. It’s interesting when you are trying to check around you it’s a bit of a pain compared to a fly bridge or open cockpit like your boat, lots of pillars and structure in your way. Saying that if I had one I would live with it ❤

Great sea trial Nick, thank you. From the running shots, it looked to me as if the Targa 40 features fairly chubby bow sections and due to that the boat bounced over waves rather than cutting through them. But the plump bow affords a voluminous stateroom, so it may well be a worthwhile compromise.

Would you say all round visibility is slightly compromised? Noticed you had to stick your head out the roof before making turns. Great video btw

If you're about to throw a boat into a full lock high speed turn, you need to be VERY sure of what's around you. Hard tops will always invoke a degree of compromised visibility, simply due to their physical structure. Lower helm positions of flybridge boats are far worse. But driven normally, they're absolutely fine.

Hi Nick. Notwithstanding this is a very handsome craft.... with lovely lines :) Except the plumb bow..... (YUK...buy the 45!) and beautifully built....it seems ...... everyone who has driven this boat has been ducking and weaving to try and get a decent view from the helm...??? unless they poke their head out of the roof....??? Seems like a good boat for warmer climes like here in Australia and Florida , the Med etc. I do also worry about the structural integrity of these flipper hull sides..... but then I am an old fart....... so I couldn't be bothered with the rear covers either..... Cheers S.
