I finally found out why I love Aquaholic so much. You have the right amount of fascination of walking through a yacht on a technical way, without being too much of a “it has this and that spec of company XYZ”. Gives me as an interested person the feeling I would walk on a yacht: this looks incredible, fascinating details etc😄 Keep the great work up!! Love your videos!

Since this is their first one, I see a lot of room for improvement in design and layout, although it's a client specified design requirement for this one. It will surely be interesting to see how they go about it in the future. The range on this one is fantastic. Was nice to see the bare bones which gives a hint on quality and precision. Thank you Nick~! :)

I would suggest that you open refrigerators, drawers, and closets for the same reason you are walking through the yacht: you are modelling what one would do while living in or visiting this yacht. Perfectly natural. The whole point of these is to discover the spaces of the yacht and know where our creature comforts are. Keep doing it the right way! :)

I love seeing the unfinished spaces, always interesting, for me, to see the "behind the scenes" areas. I think they need to move the sea strainer forward so us less limber folks can actually "get at it". Not my first choice for a cat, but that wouldn't stop me from loving this one.
@fredjones7705

Cool. I love the huge -Shark Teaser- trampoline and the boat in general. I live in the Pacific Northwest and we don't see as many catamarans up here. It's because they have so much surface area that they're difficult to heat. It'd be great to have one fitted out with the salon as the main cabin and the twin hulls (reinforced to ice class) for storage...compressor, dive gear, scooters, torpedos etc. Looked at that way you could totally insulate the tween hulls area. Great shallow draft and bridge clearance for inland meandering.
@peterjordan-turner8789
@peterjordan-turner8789 Жыл бұрын
That is (going to be) a fantastic boat. I think the saloon layout needs work, as it doesn't seem as spacious as other cats of the same size, but of course the great thing about aluminium construction is how versatile you can be when you don't have to keep to a hull mould.
@MoultrieGeek
@MoultrieGeek Жыл бұрын
I was surprised at how small the saloon was as well, perhaps they should expand it forward. Like Nick said that's the beauty of a customizable yacht, the sky is the limit.

Nick, what a comprehensive view of what goes into these builds. I was actually quite impressed that a boat company would show up to a show with a yacht that was 80% finished. It really gives prospective customers a chance to see what the build is. Obviously a short tour but a great perspective.

Like this the lay out of the salon, master cabin, interesting to see the skeleton of the unfinished cabin or office. The windows in the cabins make them look light and bright. Catamaran is always special, fuel effective and fast, we had a 9 meter with 250 hp outboard, and that was real fun. A lot space etc etc.. But in the Netherlands it is a problem finding a harbour or just make trips becouse the boat with.. So yes I like them much but there are some disadvantages.. Always great to see technical details , so to see the aluminium hull is fantastic. Many thanks Nick for this tour

To see the rugged construction along side of the contrasting finished interior is impressive. The boat appears to have what it takes to win the ever present battle that all boats face - the ability to stay afloat while providing safe passage for all aboard. And in this fine vessel, to do it in comfort. Looks like this is one Cool Cat with a winning future. Thanks for the tour.

So many advantages there!

It's quite insightful to see the engineering that goes in to the build of one of these. When you see them all complete as usual, you forget the work and design that needs to go into each one. When you see the price of some of these you can often forget as you are looking at walls, floors, ceilings etc thinking them akin to a house, but there's so much more involved than that. You kind of understand where the money is going. Thanks.

Nice catamaran. The build quality seems to be no compromise at all, and in that perspective the price is not bad at all. However, some things could be better designed. Not much space below, for instance, compared to other catamarans in this size. But, people buying this type of catamaran, may not even worry too much about that. Now, please, do also do a review of the Leen trawler style trimarans, which offer massive space for the money and on top comes with an advanced hybrid drive system and range up to 5.000 miles.

Thanks for the tour. As you say, interesting concept, tough construction. But oh my the saloon seating and passenger seating next to the helm look so uncomfortable -- nearly vertical backs with skimpy cushioning. There's just a relatively narrow double for the owner with no side table for a glass of water or a place to put a book down or your spectacles. Not ideal for a long distance cruising yacht. I saw a video of this boat underway and it was incredibly wet -- slicing through a very moderate chop at about 18 knots produced sheets of water from the outside of each bow and even water spraying over the windshield through the mesh netting between the bows. These are solvable issues but the boat needs spray rails or a reconfiguration of the bow sections.

That's a Cat that I'd love, with of course more than a few changes. With it being billed as an "expedition" yacht, the low and VERY large windows in the hulls make me nervous thinking about the possibility of ice or severe seas. Really liked the main cabin and the fact that they have allowed the potential customer's to use their own imagination for the 2nd and possibly 3rd. The main layout should have a bigger sliding door with a galley kitchen running across the boat behind the Captains seat, with the lounge area backing on to that and facing straight out. Side units should also be seating. But, Hey 1.2 million? is quite a good price! An electric version?

This could be a tough sell. A double bed is small enough (even though they are practical and sufficient) but the room to get around even that is minimal. The other hull is similarly limited in passenger capacity. The engines occupy a good bit of space. Fuel tanks, water tanks, generators, filters (etc.) have yet to be fitted?
