The story of the DCEU having failed comes down to catastrophic mismanagement that continuously failed by being at 1st reactionary, and then they failed by having no plans, and finally their ultimate collapse happened when they abandoned their plans midstream to implement new plans from someone else who already failed.

Honestly they did this to themselves Black Adam didn’t even get a China release and if it had it would have broken even and some. Henry Cavill back as Superman the buzz was there, then Gunn nepotistic Gunn came in a burned everything to the ground. I had no problem with a hard reboot but the fact Gunn is keeping his projects, his actors fired everyone else was it for me. I haven’t supported a single DC movie this year with my money and I won’t be while DC is under WBD and Gunn. I honestly hope people enjoy the Gunverse and it gives you everything you want. Amber heard is not the only reason this movie crashed, like I say Gunns actions have turned lots of DC fans off as well. I will now put all my efforts into supporting Amazon with WH40K, now it’s signed sealed and official that Cavill is the executive producer and he has his writers. Great news as a WH40K fan and can’t wait to see that universe brought to life!!!👍

I just finished watching Aquaman and The Kingdom and you had lots of amazing great visuals with fast paced storytelling with mainly montage of scenes which was okay. The 3rd act with the whole Helms deep Lord of the Rings reference was the saving grace and of course Jon Rhys Davies coming back to voice King Brin is a nice callback to him in the Peter Jackson films.

So my ending for the DCEU was that after Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom we would’ve gotten a live action Justice League Apokolips War movie, and at the end, Barry runs to restart the universe, and doesn’t have enough speed, so the rest of the League comes with him and gives him a boost. While doing that the ripples of time from Barry running through to restart the universe pushes through them all and you see them become the previous actors who have played them, the League doesn’t notice it but us as the audience does. The movie ends with them recreating a big bang it becomes a white light, and you hear Superman say “I love you Lois” and then it pans out to space and the Earth 🌏 explodes, and then the rest of the universe. The credits roll, and post credit scene is suddenly the movie pauses, pans out to 3 figures watching this happen on a small 24 inch tv 📺 and it’s Constantine, Phantom Stranger, The Question, and The Spectre all there. Constantine says “What the Fuck was that?” Phantom Stranger responds “ That is your universe, it is over and has been restarted John” Constantine “Just like that, neither of you could’ve intervened, How about The Monitor or Lucifer??” The Question responds “John it’s over, there is no going back, the only thing we can do now is prepare for the new universe” Constantine says “New Universe?” The Spectre responds “A new universe with a new group of heroes and they will need you both” Constantine looks confused and Phantom Stranger snaps his fingers and the screen goes black

Massive waste of Black Manta who was a standout in the first movie. Didn’t really feel like he got to be an actual threat to Aquaman or Atlantis, and was basically reduced to a side character in his own revenge quest

The film actually would’ve worked much better thematically as a straightforward revenge story with Manta simply using the Orichalcos to push Atlantis into conflict with the surface world. All that lost kingdom stuff wasn’t actually needed. - The power imbalance between Manta and Aquaman could’ve been solved plot wise via improved tech for Manta and smart strategy e.g. fighting on land (Manta didn’t need an obvious rug-pull scientist for this) - Orm and Aquaman would’ve made more sense as a pairing in a true revenge plot, with their character arc being the surface and atlantis learning to work together. Orm also should’ve betrayed Aquaman at one point by helping Manta. - The plot would’ve been much more personal and story driven if after act 2, the lost kingdom arc is cut. Instead it could’ve been replaced with Manta seeking revenge by killing Arthur’s dad and kidnapping his son e.g. to lure him to fight somewhere where he’d be at a disadvantage, like the desert. - Arthur seeks revenge against Manta and they fight. Manta gets the upper hand, but Orm and Arthur finally work together and defeat him. Through reconciling with Orm, Aquaman recognises that by refusing to save Manta’s father, he contributed to the cycle of conflict between Atlantis and the surface. He no longer feels conflicted about being a hero or a king and realises he should be both.

My Thoughts are now that Paramount is gonna buy WB. Paramount might think Snyderverse is something people want. Studios are there to give what people want and make more money. So in order to satisfy fans and make money, Paramount should choose to make snyderverse and complete it. But Zack is busy, and James is here. We do not know where things are headed. We will probably get a Snyderverse 10 years from now. Who knows!

Movie felt flat to me mainly because the villain felt flat. Manta never felt like a threat and just seemed like a standard villain which is crazy cause hes Arthur's greatest villain and is one of the better known DC villains(top ten for me). Should've shown him at least chopping off Aquaman's hand(giving us hook hand) and at most killing one of Aquamans family members. Also didn't need him being influenced by the black trident. The other day, I saw a clip of George Lucas saying that superhero stories were made with a heart, as the creators knew what the fans needed. But ever since the corporations took over, it’s more business and less storytelling or what fans wanted. This makes a lot of sense. Not only are we experiencing a superhero movie fatigue, but Marvel’s Avengers films have also set a high benchmark for the whole industry to connect the universe, whether it is superhero-related or not. I believe we need to go back to standalone films, as they will have a better chance of gaining success. Moreover, we should not release the big ones within a year or two, like we are about to see in 2025 with both Superman and Batman 2. This will be too much. Additionally, we should give movies to main characters and TV or animated series to B-list or lower category characters. Just like comics, most of us don’t even care about the other characters and are more into the main ones. The same logic applies here.

Orm and Aqua shouldve had to fight together to beat Cordax instead of the trident 360 no scope that we got.... shit was lame. After seeing Aquaman 1 and 2 I don't really know if Momoa is such a good choice for Lobo. He has the look, and in real life he does have the charisma, but in Aquaman he doesn't really know how to bring it to the screen.

The main problem is they got people excited thinking we were getting another Superman movie with Henry Cavil. Had talks with him...he made social media posts etc....we got teased the snyderverse could be salvaged. The Cavil would get to be in the hopeful Superman movie he wanted to do....then Gunn came and gunned everything to bits. With one stroke said....none of it matters Snyderverse is dead. Cavils let go. Every one is let go....and any movies coming out at that time get re worked and made irrelevant. So why invest the energy and money into seeing them. Which is a shame because all the actors headlining the snyderverse are good actors. Gunn could have kept them for a couple more years then phased them out with a crises on infinite earth's arc. But nah...homeboy was like....a Roman Emperor thumb downing that shit.

I think if everyone avoids this movie because of AH is disgusting, why can't we all go see it to support Jason, James, Nicole etc etc!
