WITH NO MANUAL TO WORK WITH YOUR VIDEO WAS JUST WHAT I NEEDED, THANKS!

Thank you for the video. I have my LOW limit set as OFF. I can save an entire tank of fuel each winter without it constantly running to maintain 130 minimum.

Great video. Please note, though, there are T T terminals for the thermostat as well. They're not on the bottom strip ,but up and to the left a bit, allowing for a thermostat circuit input into this controller
@bills1995vette2 жыл бұрын
Thanks. Never understood what T/T and in some cases x/x terminals were.

Thanks for taking the time to make this video. When programming the control how do you set it up for just a "straight heat" like the old L4148A? Is it programed for straight heat by default or do I have to program it to do so?
@LeisurelineStoveCo3 жыл бұрын
It should work straight out of the box.

Great video, save my time and money, just one quick question, after finish set up, should I press three buttons again to go back to normal running, or it will automatically go back after a while
@LeisurelineStoveCo5 жыл бұрын
Yes it will go back to normal mode automatically. Thanks for your comments.

Thank you for the video. I have one of these on a crown boiler system. The problem is that our boiler does domestic hot water and baseboard forced hot water heating. The problem is that the domestic hot water is scolding hot. Is it OK to turn the high level down below 180? Thank you for your time
@Hyland-HyC3 жыл бұрын
Yes it is okay to drop the high limit as low as 140, Keep in mind that you will need to drop the low limit to 120 as well. I think 120 is the lowest temp set on the low and high limits. The high and low limits should be set minimum of 20 degrees apart or you will find the boiler locking out. You should also have a water mixer valve that you can adjust the cold to hot water ratio.

Pex melts at 220 degrees? Please elaborate. On a cold day say 10 deg. oat would you need to change for say the hl to 200 and the ll to 180 with a 25 deg diff? this oil fired burner is with a tankless hw heater.
@SteveHartmanVideos3 жыл бұрын
220? that's for steam i think. I have oil and pex for hot water heat. the pex can only go up to 180. i have my settings on 170 high because it goes up to 180 when when it cuts off the fire at 170. the base board hot water heater elements will still give out plenty of heat (if they are not too old?) at around 160-180 which is how i have mine set up in NJ. we have some pretty cold winters.

I’m having problems with a error code 1 and I’ve had lots of problems with different units with the error code 1. I’m wondering if the drywall isn’t making proper contact. Wondering if there was a sensor that bolted to the block
@LeisurelineStoveCo3 жыл бұрын
You can use thermal grease to make better contact with the dry well. Error 1 wouldn't be caused by poor contact though, that is internal to the circuit with the sensor.

I have the same unit as you are demonstrating - L7224. I can get into program mode by pressing the three buttons as you show, it shows me the HL limit. But when I press "I" to scroll thru the options, my next and only other option is to change between "F" and "C" degrees, which in my manual is the last option I should see...if I press I again it goes to the HL setting...I have no LL option, or any of the other options. Any ideas?
@SteveHartmanVideos3 жыл бұрын
check the mode settings in the manual, there is a way to set the modes up and you might have it set up for the wrong mode. the modes are how it konws if it should be controlling a water pump, etc.

is high limit at 180F normal? On my L7224U i have high limit at 220 and low limit at 195.
@LeisurelineStoveCo7 жыл бұрын
Armagan Yavuz , that is fine as long as you don't have any plastic plumbing such as Pex pipe in your system. Running the temperatures that high will not hurt the AA220 or WL110. matt
@TheArmagan22117 жыл бұрын
LeisurelineStoveCo thank you so much for replying. Honestly at 220F the water isn't even that hot! if I set HL to 195 or 200 I only get lukewarm water... Do you think I may have some issues with my system?
@LeisurelineStoveCo7 жыл бұрын
Armagan Yavuz , yes the circulation pumps should be connected to either a zone control with ZC/ZR connected from the boiler aquastat or if one pump connected to C1/C2 in the aquastat. This will shut the pump off if the temperature is below the low limit differential. give me a call at 570-752-1811 to discuss further if you want. matt

@@TheArmagan2211 you're mixing up the two water circuits. The 220F or 180 if you have oil and hot water, is for the heater going to your baseboard water heaters. getting hot water for domestic hot water like for the showers or sink, you would then have a mixer valve that takes the 180 F water and mixes some cold in there to give you around 120 out to the house. those break all the time due to water corrosion inside. Check that part, some of them have a dial to adjust the hot water temp that is mixed. if its already at the hottest setting, then its prob in need of cleaning or replacement. i just replaced mine.

I have this aquastat. I checked mine. HL is 180 and LL is showing off. Is that normal?
@LeisurelineStoveCo4 жыл бұрын
No, make sure the jumper is removed and the knob is turned to the desired setting
@jamesa62724 жыл бұрын
LeisurelineStoveCo no knob has the 3 buttons. I set the HL to 180 and set the LL to 160. The guage and readout goes up to 230-250. Max hot water temp is for the boiler is 250. Have no clue why its going past 180. Its a rental property. Waiting for response for a tech to come check it out.

@@jamesa6272 oh, thought maybe you had the new style hydrostat 3250, since you have the Honeywell have never seen off before. I'll check the documents and get back to you.

Low limit should be 20 degrees below the high limit. Do not put the high limit above 200 degrees if you do not have a steam boiler. The low limit does not need to be there unless you are using your boiler for domestic hot water. Increasing the domestic hot water output can be done by increasing the low limit differential. Please be careful folks!
@LeisurelineStoveCo3 жыл бұрын
Solid fuel boilers are run differently than gas or oil units. The low limit is always used, solid fuel has limited recovery capability. And yes, always be careful, proper installation per local and national codes is mandatory.
@edlunney41073 жыл бұрын
@@LeisurelineStoveCo I always forget about solid fuel as they're nearly never used in my region!

i have oil and the same controller, and i set my high limit for 170 F because by the time the boiler stops, the water will climb to 184 even after the fire stopped. My low is set for 150 and the LLF is kept at the default of 10. i have PEX pipes that deliver the hot water to the base board heaters and they seem to pump out plenty of heat like that and I want to keep the water temp 180 or below, so i dont damage the pex pipes ( they are rated for 180 for baseboard heat I believe). I understand that the boiler will kick on at 150 at the lowest, and when heat is in demand, it will kick back on at 160 (which is 10 below my max of 170). So in my case, since i have that big 14 deg rise, i could set my recovery or LLF to maybe 5 deg? Then it would bounce between 165 and 184 for baseboard heat. I also have domestic hot water, using a mixer valve set to 115. Then if you just want the hot water for a shower, the boiler will bounce between 150 and ? what would the low level differential be in that case? Is my understanding correct here with my settings?
@LeisurelineStoveCo3 жыл бұрын
@@SteveHartmanVideos if I understand correctly, you have an oil boiler. In that case the low limit would be on 130*.

Hi can I please ask you a question. I have this system which does our forced hot water baseboard heaters and also domestic hot water. The problem is that the domestic hot water is scolding hot and I’m trying to adjust this. Why would be ideal LL & HH settings to lower my domestic hot water? Thank you
