This is a beautiful piece, and I thank you for the walkthrough, materials and instructions. What I find "interesting", these two years later, is a comment like that. Gun safes exist for a reason, that's a widely accepted option for everyone. Ease of access for those same owners is their prerogative, and why not make a subtle, and beautiful decoration of it? If you're putting this much effort into storage and display, I have trust in your knowledge of basic ownership and safety.

Hard to tell from the video, but is it possible to put the hinge on the inside with this design? I’m wanting mine to be as discreet as possible, putting a large logo on it and using hidden rfid locks. For what I have in mind an external hinge is less than idea not only because it stands out but also because it would make it easier for a criminal to get into by taking off the hinge
@IsaacAlexanderDIY2 жыл бұрын
Because of how these hinges work, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be able to be placed on the inside versus the outside. So I think if you wanted to hide them on the inside you could

Oh no, at 5:11 😱😭. It's flipped the wrong way 😭😭. Were you able to fix it immediately or did you have to start over? All that work put in it. Been there, done that. Maybe not THAT but everyone messes up, no matter how careful we are or how much we plan it out. Cheers from Texas. At the end, it turned out 👌🏻👌🏻🇺🇸
@IsaacAlexanderDIY3 жыл бұрын
Oh Janie! Haha if you only knew. You are completely correct! It was flipped. It was such a big mistake that I didn’t realize until I glued and nailed it down. When I flipped it around, I was shocked. There was absolutely no saving it. I had to start over 😖 The flag at the end is the 2nd flag I created. I almost didn’t even publish this video because of the mistake, but I was determined to finish the project so I started over because we push forward and never quit. 🇺🇸

Haha Jeff you wouldn’t believe how frustrating it was. I didn’t realize I had it flipped upside until AFTER I had nailed it and glued it. There was no way I could save it. I had to start over! The flag at 8:02 is the 2nd flag I made LMAO. So to start over again was the last thing I wanted to do but I’m not a quitter.

If you're wondering why you don't have more subscribers, this video may be the reason. Thought I'd throw it out there for your benefit.
@IsaacAlexanderDIY3 жыл бұрын
This video was posted one month ago when I had 1000 subs. In the last 10 days, I’ve gone past the 2k mark. Pretty sure your statement is incorrect. More importantly though, I don’t get paid to make these videos. I don’t get sponsorships, endorsements and I make no income from this channel. I make DIY videos cause it’s a hobby and passion of mine. I don’t do it for the subs, I don’t do it for the views, I don’t do it for clout - I do it cause I love it. So no Princezz Puffypants, I don’t wonder about my subscribers or my view count. Instead, I focus on making cool videos, being a good person and trying to teach others how to foster their passion and love for building things.

This comment makes no sense to me, unless it's somehow against the second ammendment. In any event, the more comments Isaac gets on his channel, the more it grows, so this is for you, Mr. Alexander. Go on and bear your arms. Incidentally, I was binging these vids knowing I was going to subscribe when I finished watching. After reading this, I stopped what I was doing and sub'd right away. 🤜🤛

Look "Princezz", if this was my channel the first thing I would do is throw YOU out. This very well crafted cabinet could be used for hiding any number of things. In your case you could keep your halo and tiara in it but you're so perfect I'm sure that halo never comes off and that tiara is fused to your skull so we all know what a high maintenance pretentious little busy body you are. Get over yourself and change your ridiculous screen name. S.M.H.

Did no one else notice that he swapped projects half way through? The first one has the stars in the top right hand corner of the flag after he nailed the supports on the back lol. I'd imagine it was intentional, but still funny.
