I've got an AR383 (legacy version) that i've been using for over 10 years and it only recently started revving a bit while powered on but not spraying like there is a little leak somewhere. No biggie. The first thing to do with their units is if they have a plastic filter on the inlet.... throw it away. it will break. guaranteed. I replaced the gun on mine with a higher quality MTM SG28 so i can use proper quick connects and my MTM foam cannon. Big upgrade.

Great videos. I've been following for a while. I do have a question that I haven't seen questioned or answered, and I can't imagine going through all your previous videos to look for it :). What is that light green vertical tank in the corner of your garage used for? It seems to have your black water hose connected to the top of it. I'm assuming (but you know what happens when someone ASSuMEs) it is for deionizing the water. How important is that? Have you discussed it in one of your videos? If so, can you provide a link to it? Thank you.

This looks like a suitable replacement for my Ryobi 1600, which appears to be going on the fritz for me. It's cycling the pump without the trigger being activated. Still seems to be working, but time to look for a replacement.

Is it leaking from somewhere? It sounds like it’s losing pressure some where
@johnneidert57773 жыл бұрын
@@imjoshv Not leaking from any connections that I can see. Water hose, both ends of the pressure washer hose, and gun not leaking. The only changes I made were to add the quick disconnects to all connections. The problem started after I added them, although I don't recall if it happened immediately. I will remove all the connections tomorrow morning and see what happens as a comparison.
@Reaper-Jim3 жыл бұрын
@@johnneidert5777 How long have you owned it? How many actual hours have you used it? Have you kept it from freezing over the winters? Have you ran it dry? ….. it may just be ending it’s life cycle, if that’s the case, nothing you can do but buy another or invest in a serviceable unit.
@johnneidert57773 жыл бұрын
@@Reaper-Jim , @IMJOSHV Owned it several years in San Diego, no leaks noted. Actual hours probably less than 100. No chance of freezing here, and I always remove as much water as possible before putting away. Haven't run it dry either. Today tested it without the quick connects and it did the same thing. It's on it's way out, just a matter of time.

Once again, ALL these cheaper pressure washers only have 60-150 hours of run time. If you’re good with that, most any of them will serve you well for as long as they last.
@imjoshv3 жыл бұрын
Yea most of these are for at home use so that amount of time is pretty fair. Although I have used some for way longer than that with no issue. Like the ryobi 1600
@Reaper-Jim3 жыл бұрын
@@imjoshv Yes, some will last longer. Some will not. It’s a crap shoot at best, even if you take care of it as suggested by the manufacturer. What I love about them, I can get several for cheap. What I hate about them, they all break … sooner than later. But as long as “we’re” aware of these issues, I see nothing wrong with owning a cheap pressure washer. It’s all good. Not all of us can afford $5k for a pressure washer. We make due.
