My Grandfather only had one horse and would put him in the barn each night. Grandpa would go out to the barn very evening after dinner to check on and chat with his horse. He’d always bring a treat too.

Who's going to take care of him when this teenage horse girl gets busy with other things in a few years and loses interest/has no time to hang out with a horse all day (summer only, of course)and keep up with all the maintenance and care he'll need as he hits his twenties? I don't know why everyone thinks teenagers are so diligent and responsible. It has to be the parents who want him and decide to take him since they'll be left with him.

Glorious feeling after a chiropractor puts you back together....they must have felt wonderful. You can tell Ziggy is happier. He's healthier, he has good friends, he knows he's in a good place...physically, mentally and in his little sweet heart. I don't think he knew how much he was entitled to be happy for just being Ziggy and not just one of the nondescript dude ranch horses. Ziggy is now a real 'somebody'.

Well all of them look great, even with a few chonky bellies! I particularly noticed Pete looking his absolute best, with his shiny coat and he looks perfectly healthy. You have to wonder what happened in his earlier life, when he still takes his time to decide to trust you. We know his timidness was not caused by you, and it's a shame that whatever happened has affected his whole life. Your patience with him is admirable.

Ziggy is a very nice horse, quiet, steady, sound and capable. He needs a girl who loves horses and can take care of him and ride him for a long time. Someone who is not too heavy. Watching C.C. go about her tasks tending her horses along with Tiny and Huckleberry certainly show how labor and caring for them can make most other work in modernity seem at best mundane if not psychically unrewarding. Great to see Ziggy transforming in strength and emotional well being. When you first brought him home he seemed like he was kind of on auto pilot, just accepting whatever came his way. Now he is much more engaged, relaxed and happier. I can say, he has won many of our hearts over. Personally, I have a bit of hope you will keep him through the winter as you know his needs very well now to keep him healthy and strong. BTW, you are almost at the 100 thousand mark! What a nice day, CC. Everyone got a little camera attention, except Frisco, Prim, and Nigel, (Skeletor, too) but I am sure you took care of them when Tiny got on the shaky plate.
